And the attempt to hold to that self, so as to have a possession, and objectification. And then, all experiences, all object that attach to that, come with that. One's history, future, world. The world of objects, of experiences to be had, of survival. Once I have a self as an object " in here " - then I have objects " out there " and their relation to that self - either hurtful or helpful. To relinquish the self is to relinquish objects. And if so, there is no need to cognize a " Self " or anything else, like a " God " or " Being " or " Guru " or whatever ... as these are all objects, are objectifications, are thoughts that are held.
