I wonder what N. means when he says it is easy to realize the Self if

you are honest. " Everything yields to honesty. Without honesty, it is

quite impossible. " Que significa?

If the goal is pursued past the realization of the ultimate emptiness

of the illusory self......a certain fearlessness percolates down

through awareness...and a starkly beautiful honesty looks out upon its

mysterious kingdom.....and says:

" It is good! "

[Note that when he says that he means absolute honesty.]

To " realize the Self " is the same as to

realize Truth.

To realize Truth without absolute honesty

is obviously absurd, which is why realization

without honesty is impossible.

The very nature of " absolute " means that there

cannot be absolute commitment to more than one

thing. If there is absolute commitment to honesty

then in the end one becomes effectively an

embodiment of honesty... which is to become

one with Truth, which is Self.

How can something......which is essentially a lie......be committed to

honesty?

It either is or it isn't.

It is not a commitment in the sense of

a decision. I said, " If there is absolute

commitment to honesty... " (passive voice),

NOT " If one makes an absolute commitment... "

which is just make-believe in my view.

In other words, " absolute commitment to honesty "

is not a prescription, but a description.

Awareness is as it is.

There is no impediment.

Thus, the only impediment is awareness trying to split itself, divide

itself, ignore itself - which can't be done.

Therefore, only one's own self-deception is the impediment, only one's

self-ignoring activity, one's investment in being something, instead

of the no-thing one is.

To collapse what you wrote into one line:

" The only impediment is one's investment in being something,

instead of the no-thing one is. "

Kind of hits the spot, I say.
