Surrender is to give oneself up to the original cause of one's being. Sages speak to an audience in the circumstantial moment. Everything they say is not meant to apply to every body. The above commentary is great advise.......to one starting out on the journey of self discovery. And is offered as a point of departure......a change of orbit......a one way ticket......in the journeyless journey. It is, however, as ultimately meaningless...and useless.. as any other prescription for a disease that does not exist. There comes a time...or not....the understanding that one can never return to a place that exists only within their own imagination. There comes a time...or not....an understanding that any attempt to free one's self form imaginary ropes only tighten them. There comes a time....or not....when one comes to see that there is absolutely nothing they can do...or not do.....to escape the dream of separation. There comes a time....or not.....when a self realizes that they.....and all the others.... are merely a characters in a most mysterious dream........and that the dream is all there is. There comes a time.......or not.....when one sits alone...without medication.....and the Emptiness comes to embrace its own. toombaru
