Guest guest
the unreal means so much to the prisoners... because its where they have invested all of their energy... and because of this vicious circle they are not willing to break the spell...they are not only lost in it...they are blinded by it as well. http://iietsa.blogspot.com/

A person with this condition, after eating a sweet, will briefly experience an energy boost but soon the surge in insulin depresses the energy level making them think they need another sweet for more energy. But the cycle just repeats with another short boost followed by another energy drop. The illusion is that they need a sweet for energy. Once on that path -- and *without knowledge of what is going on* -- they keep trodding the same endless cycle, unawares that they are even trapped (as with the prisioners in the allegory).
