Guest guest
There was an old lady who lived in a cave . She had been one of the first disciples of Gautama Buddha. After her time with him she took off into the woods and later made a home in the hole of a rock. She lived there austerely--austerely because for one thing she was poor and for another she liked it that way--for many years and word got around that there was a holy hermit so people came to hear what she had to say. She was the laconic type and gave them the thundrous silence treatment. Finally some guy came and asked her what the Buddha had taught her that had allowed her to drop the world and be happy hunkered down in a rock without so much as a pot to piss in. She looked at him for a moment and seeing that he was in the burning hair stage she gathered up a a handful of the dust that was conveniently lying on the floor of her cave and very quickly threw it into the air-- where it dispersed.
