Guest guest
I came across a book in the library a long time ago. Just read the title and the flaps.I think it was written by an American or a German philosopher--probably an American with a German sounding name. The Way of the Aesthete was the title I think. His idea was:Look at everything and every event the way you look at pictures in a gallery.Today it happened that I was listening to some stirring (for me) music in the car and there were lots of sunshiney trees on the roadsides. I was getting into a pretty tall mood.It is easy with music to realize that the best part of it is your own contribution. Not so easy with trees and other things--like mailmen and cop cars etc.Anyway it occurred to me that for somebody like me--pretty much a sliddenback pedestrian of the Oneness scene--the simple procedure of relating to every event and objcet as though they were works of art-- always assuming that art is in the eye of the beholder--would give one a tiny peek at HOW THINGS REALLY ARE. This is silly stuff and who is going to do it etc. but it's a likable idea anyway.
