Guest guest
What I appreciate most in Nisargadatta's teachings is his Gestalt style, never met in other esoterical teachings. I would like to define his style: he asks in the beginning of the dialogues what the listeners' experiences are on the spiritual path and in a few sentences they are advised how to proceed on the spiritual path. In his advises he speaks from his own attainment without any arrogance. My question to my readers is: do you recognize this exceptional style. Guest guest
There is no second, other or seperate self to search for. You are the other, seperate, second self, only give up the false ideas you have about your self. (517) My self and your self are the same. I know it, but you don't. That is all the difference. (88) Helping others is mere imagination. In truth you help yourself, because there are no others. (313) In reality there are no others, and by helping others you help yourself. (383) I am the other person, the other person is myself; in name and shape we are different, but there is no separation. At the root of our being we are one. (511) Nisargadatta Maharaj Page numbers are from the book I Am That. Nisargadatta , " tom " <jeusisbuen wrote: > > I have been reading Nis lately. I am aware of any feeling for his > style.
