Guest guest
Bob Suggestion Box Well, as we all know by now, Bob is a hard nut to crack. For some curious reason he lives in fear of being stupid, condemned, laughed at, trivialized, boring, neglected, feminized, dominated, unloved, castrated, rejected and abandoned. And his greatest dread of all, is of being changed. In his dread of emasculation, any change suggests feminization, and thus, a fate worse than death: social isolation. In other words, he's a true man of the world. But not of the soul. We all know that it is precisely these fears that one must confront in order to find inner peace. Inner peace is only attainable through emancipation from the " values " of the world and its chronic codependency. One can only liberate oneself from its attachments by owning that dread of separation and overthrowing the judgments and condemnations that feed its fear. Only thus can one become whole. Because fear of separation and condemnation can only fragment. Clearly, Bob's dread of separation from Nis, is emblematic of his fragmented life. While, on the one hand, Bob boisterously declares his macho indifference to ostracism, Hur need only imply that Bob might be ousted, for Bob to immediately fall into line. Yet the very next minute, Bob's at it again, venting, bragging, demeaning and declaring his invulnerability as if nothing had happened. But just watch him scream and fret, declare himself the victim, when he is, indeed, suspended, like a recalcitrant school boy. It's only natural. We must all rage against that weaning process, all defenses must be exhausted before we can attain any Self awareness and perspective. But Bob's defenses are clearly not exhausted. As we know, Bob has continued his vituperation and absurdist loquacity in his desperate bid to have the last word, at any cost, and thus avoid facing, owning, his fears and self hatred. I expect to continue to frustrate that bid.
