Guest guest
Working on mind without working on body is like cleaning and decorating the inside of a house without paying any attention to its wall and structure that continue to rot. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Meditation is to mind, what exercise is to the body. Those who say there is no need to meditate in order to be enlightened [to be, who you already are], are both right and wrong. Yes, health is indeed the default, natural condition of the body and mind and thus there is really no need to exercise in order to 'discover' what is natural and default. But, this 'natural condition' easily gets obscured and compromised because of external agents that the body/mind comes in contact with. Body exercise helps clean these impurities and makes body stronger. A stronger body can maintain its good natural health easily. Meditation does same thing for the mind. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Thinking that there is no need to meditate after 'gaining' enlightenment is similar to thinking that there is no need to exercise after 'gaining' health and its effects too are similar. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ One good meditation I find is to: Try looking within [inward] and without [outward] at the same time. Try it. . .
