'i' don't know 'who' 'you' are. what duality? what does 'real' mean? 'i' don't understand. all nouns are equally verbs all verbs are nouns. the 'doer' is the 'doing'... the 'doing' is the 'doer'. basic..simple..indisputable. all is One.. there is no 'text' nor 'context'.. outside nor inside. there is nothing to be 'inside' nor 'outside of, for, by, through. but 'your' thinking so...is just the thought that you're thinking so. no thinker needed... nor 'thought'. but apparency does create the trapped apparency.. and 'it' calls 'itself' the 'thinker' of 'thoughts. comical in an odd or whimsical manner. sometimes it's called and appears as 'joe'. joe-joe is a 'man' who 'thinks' himself a 'loner'. what a thought! ..b b.b. Guest guest
Hi Z, You asked 'What gets detached from what? " The only thing attached is mind. YOU have never been attached to anything...impossible. When you come to know who you truly are you will know that you are not body or mind. And then you come to discover that there is no need to detach anything. The pain of attachment is only the belief that " I " am attachment. But " I " am not attached. Ego is only the belief in ego...that I am separate...body/mind. When you come to know who you truly are you will know that you don't have to kill or transcend ego. When come to know who you truly are the belief in ego disappears. When the BELIEF in ego disappears, ego disappears. If you can do what Maharaj says, which is to only pay attention to " I am', ...but let me say it differently...You are aware...yes? Now if you change the word aware from a verb to a noun and make it synonymous with 'I' see what happens. I...aware. It should take you away from believing you are in the body, being 'someone who is aware', and place you firmly in the NOW. Just aware. A sense that you are not 'inside' can happen. And so whenever you see yourself trying to figure out or understand just stop...and notice that you and aware are synonymous. See what happens. That is exactly what Maharaj is saying. Stop...and see who you truly are. And do it over and over and over. It is truly that simple but we still want complication...to understand, figure out and philosophize. But it will never happen like that. A mature person is ready for absolute simplicity. Nothing! Truth! Peace and love, Sal Hi all, What gets detached from what? this is not a cutesy question but something important to find out. Z
