LIGHT OF AWARENESS is being able to look at one's own suffering and fear, transcending it to be of 'skillful means' in doing what one can in one's " OWN " sphere of influence. After all that is the only thing we 'own', so to speak. And think not that we do not. (Without presence, where would we be?) Besides, we took it upon ourselves when we removed ourselves from the ONENESS and created 'otherness'. And hence it's been rough going ever since. History is replete with inhumanity--to one another, to all sentient creatures--Mother Earth is a conscious entity. She knows when we're being bad. ;-) Even if we choose to be bliss bunnies, head hunters ;-), or dragons of despair.
