Guest guest
There are many books about I AM THAT. The most famous now is by Nisargadatta Mahraj, there is another one by Rajneesh. I was reading both and I came to think: The statment I AM THAT, could be understood from two different and opposing positions. The first -adopted by the majority of aspirants- is I (the aspirant) am all that,I (the aspirant) am all what is experienced, all this is I. Here " I " refers to my " I " , the aspirant's " I " . The second -adopted by a minority- is that The True Self is describig ItSelf to the aspirant; so that this poor aspirant can actualize the True Self in his everyday life. For this to happen the aspirant's " I " has to be nothing, becuse the True Self Says I AM THAT meaning I AM ALL THESE MANIFESTATIONS AND PHENOMENA YOU EXPERIENCE. You and your poor creations have no reality, you and your petty creations have to evaporate for the True Self to be " I AM THAT " actualized in the everyday life of the aspirant. hsin

Z the aspirant aspires to that which it can never attain. at the twinkling of 'time' it is as if it never was. it wasn't. it isn't....... nor will it ever be. there is no division between aspired by and aspired to. as long as either one obtain... " THAT " does not. " THAT " doesn't care. everyday life is the obvious yet invisible pathway. there is nothing before nor anything after. THIS IS IT! that's " THAT " . twelve bar blues turnaround... ..b b.b.
