Guest guest
You have hear that an isolation cell is a terrible punishment, but in a way, we all are in solitary confinement from birth. We are prisoners inside our skull's bony walls. We never know how it really feels to be another, think like another, live a different life than our own. It could be that that isolation is about to end, that science is posed to spring us free. Science already can use the electric impulses of our thoughts to move artificial limbs, and cursors in PCs. From here we only need to take another small step to record and play back our thoughts, emotions, and sense perceptions. If, and when we can record our minds and play them back to others, it would be the greatest revolution to befall mankind. Imagine if you could play back the experience of going to Mars, or being a future sage of the caliber of Buddha, Ramana, or Christ? There would be no human experience that you could not feel. You could know how it feels being a woman, a male, a murderer, a madman. What revolution that would bring! I explore some of those possibilities, in a humorous way, in my story " The Mind Reader " at: http://awakefiction.wordpress.com/the-mind-reader/ Pete

I was obsessed with feeling love, could not leave it alone. It was a manufactured love, homespun. Now that I'm me, I feel love only when it comes out of he blue. >
