A doctor friend of mine told me that an

elderly female patient of his recently

committed suicide. She sat at the kitchen

table and shot herself in the head. On

the table she left a note addressed to no

one in particular which said:

" Please, excuse the mess. "

The more that one understands that the self is not the doer....the

more one understands that the " others " are not the doer.

.........and everything becomes perfectly appropriate.

There occurs within the conceptual overlay a form of thinking in which

it imagined that there is an entity that needs to learn

something.....and that there exists another entity that can do the

required teaching.

That could not be further from the truth.

Nothing of value was learned from your infantile reaction to a sweet

and wise woman who disagreed with your misconceptions concerning the

nature of reality.

I do miss her.......and due to your actions.....I doubt that we will

be hearing from her again.

Now all of that is perfectly appropriate.......albeit painful.

It all occurred in the only way it could.

There exists no entity that can improve its imagined circumstance.

It's time for you to drop the facade of being a teacher and see what's

really going on.

Time is running out.

there is no entities, and a few sentences later

that there is a Pete entity who needs to drop

a facade. So which do you really believe? And it

wasn't you, but her who needed to learn. I'm no more

teacher than your PC is, and I'm sure you have learned

a lot from your PC.

Everything that I say is said to myself.

The only " pete " that I know is swirling within the synaptic-mnemonic

interface of this brain sitting on these shoulders.

It was my own infantile reactions that were being noted.

You are but one of the reflective surfaces in vast hall of mirrors

that comprises my world-view.

The only teacher that we will ever know is on the inside.

I have always enjoyed your company........but sometimes I am wounded

by your presence.

The woundedness that we share makes us nothing.... but humans sharing...

Some things happen without interference... some things happen because

we are the interference.... And some things never are interfered with

that should be.

Hence...human misery.

What are we really teaching one another?

p.s. I am not unwilling sto say I am sick and heartbroken. What if

Bod was just seeking the companionship of kindred spirits. What if

those were her last days?

I lived through that once already with my friend, Larry Epston.

to don't be the doer.....

a great spiritual subject...

mostly welcome for fantastic ego-minded freaks....

who get excuses for behaving as stupid as they wish to...and then

believing they weren't the doer....

Ps: also irresponsible & ignorant beings love to use such

illusion....in order to remain as ignorant as they ever have

been....and ever will be....

P: Presence never wounds. What hurts is

the attachment we feel to our opinions

of how the world should be, and how it

should behave toward us. When those

expectations are abruptly shatter, there

is hurt.

P: What if my mother had said " no " to my father,

that sure would have saved me a lot of hurt. And,

of course, Bod would still be posting, and you

wouldn't be sick and heartbroken.

SO, to all future mothers, say " no " to pricks!

No one is stopping Bod from posting, except Bob's

hurt feelings. Those who talk tall, should feel

short. Tall feelings are easily hurt, as you know

well.

Agreed.

Except we don't feel attachment....we ARE attachment.

P: Yes, two identical drops of water laying side

by side and reflecting the same sky, and yet still do not

reflect the exact same picture. The pictures are

distorted by the curvature of drop. It's the

surface tension between the water and the air that

gives a drop its shape, when that tension is ruptured

the water molecules spill out and run free, unable

to reflect anything. It is the prison of shape that

reflects meaning.
