Living By The River

If one lives by the river long enough.........there is always the

chance that their homestead will break loose and enter the flowing.

At first the frictionless movement is confusing and frightening.

There is nothing to hold on to.

As the sense of home shifts from the past to the present.....personal

identity no longer is the observer and one actually becomes that which

flows.

1) There is no personal identity because there also is no impersonal

identity.

2) Identiy, personal or impersonal :), can never be the observer,

simply because there exists no observer. There is only the observed.

The emotional quality caused by the observed is what is called

identitfication. If no emotion is caused by the observed then there

is no identification.

There is no shadow........and yet there is.

There is the appearance of an observer and the resulting fear and

suffering.

There is the dream of separation and there is the realization of its

ultimate vacuity.

There is the conceptual overlay.....and there is that out of which it

emerges.

There is the friction of duality and there is the bliss of the

flowing......

.....and all of it...is who you are.

I am is the door into the dream.....and the door out.

The sun evaporates that which appeared as the shadow.

Come on, Toomb,

Start to read my post anew again, it is not that difficult to

understand and to accept what I wrote.

After reading Hermann Hesse's Siddharta I always dreamed and wanted

to live along the shores of a river and 'listen' to what the stream

could teach me. An untameable rush of adrenaline arrested my romantic

desires at the time.

The veins in ones body are terrific surrogates tho. What's more....it

comes with a back-beat!! :)

I am a mirror that can only see itself.

I am a closed loop.

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

Nor can I ever.

I no longer imagine that you are outside of me.

My focus now is not trying to understand you.

I am exploring the vastness of who I am....and you are part of that.

I listen to what you say.......and swim within that for a while......

I am not trying to convince you of anything.

I enjoy you the way you are.

You help me explore the labyrinth of being.

To me.......you are a character in this most mysterious dream that I

am having......alone.

The desire to avoid struggle is the greatest struggle of all.

Life is struggle.

But it doesn't last all that long.

Many years ago a woman who lived her whole life in a wheelchair

gave a talk to a woman's group.

I determined at that time that if she could speak about life in terms

of joy and accomplishment then the struggle that is life is a gift.

Sometimes I tend to forget it; fortunately I return to love and

gratitude soon enough.

It could (always) be verse. ;-)

I wasn't refering to having a desire avoiding the struggle, anyway...

'the struggle'...it brought us here...funny. Not?
