Guest guest
the ice beneath these walking things. beneath the ice beneath the walking lies a great world... water undulating and flowing... where there is still never stillness. still abounding with squiggly 'living' things. hard cold above. frigid wind. ah..the shanty! to light the lantern..drink the hot cup and drop the baited hook. tomorrow night will come the perigee moon. january is a snowy month here. the combo : snow + perigee moonlight.... amazing! the moon soars overhead at midnight.. the white terrain and frozen snow spring to life.. with a reflected glow which banishes night. yet is not the same as day. you can read a newspaper...ride a bike...bait your hook.. and at the same time count the stars overhead! otherworldly.... requiring being sampled first hand. unless it storms and the snow clouds dark the sky. then it would be just a story. a second hand thing. like all 'things'. ..b b.b.
