Guest guest
perhaps the most unusual argument for evidence of God.. has come from mathematics. some have suggested that the compact formula: ei*pi + 1 = 0.. is surely proof of a Creator calling this formula " God's formula. " Edward Kasner and James Newman in " Mathematics and the Imagination " : " We can only reproduce the equation and not stop to inquire into its implications. It appeals equally to the mystic, the scientists, the mathematician. " hmm. this formula of Leonhard Euler (1707-1783) unites.. the five most important symbols of mathematics: 1, 0, pi, e and i (the square root of minus one). this union was regarded as mystic union. it contains representatives from each branch of the math tree: arithmetic is represented by 0 and 1.. algebra by the symbol i.. geometry by pi.. and analysis by the transcendental e. Harvard mathematician Benjamin Pierce said about the formula: " That is surely true, it is absolutely paradoxical.. we cannot understand it, and we don't know what it means.. but we have proved it, and therefore we know it must be the truth. " mathematics certainly says more in fewer " words " than other science. David Eugene Smith wrote: " The formula, ei*pi + 1 = 0 expressed a world of thought.. of truth, of poetry, and of the religious spirit. `God eternally geometrizes.' " ..b b.b. And yes........in order of it to be a god......it has to be a creator god. And when someone calls you on the childishness of your belief you attack. Your belief structure is no different that any other " true believer " . You feel deeply that you have discovered something of great significance....some secret formula.....something that you claim " other great minds " have also concluded....... The reason that you are having trouble putting it into words is: because like all secret formulas concerning the nature of reality.....it is smoke and mirrors. It is the same old infantile thought process out of which all creation stories are spun. It is within the arena of creativity that the infant will begin to make his transition into the egoic-material world by finding or discovering a " transitional object. This can be a blanket a teddy bear a story book or a math problem. All of which afford him the magical belief that he is moving toward the primal caretaker that changed his diapers or fed him when he cried. He is pre-wired from childhood to seek a resolution to his inherent existential confusion. For most this quest never ends and it sure as hell won't be resolved in the speculation about an unsolvable math problem. Grow up for Christsakes and stop thinking that you have it all figured out. toombaru

YOU don't understand the not understanding that is involved with this. of course Biffy..there is little that you ever do understand. LOL! and lastly jerkoff, it's YOU who is implying things here. the equation does not " imply " anything.. it " proves " implications. your 'take' (on it or of it) sort of implies that you're dumb. you're the living proof of that implication. t.= d* (wherein t. equates to [you know who]) and .. d* represents the inability to count one's fingers) > And yes........in order of it to be a god......it has to be a creator god. > > And when someone calls you on the childishness of your belief you attack. no i don't attack. i point out the attacker. it's your own inept belief that attacks you. my you're so emotionally tender and sensitive as well as dimwitted. the " creator god in this equation.. has so little to do with your immature concept.. it's beyond laughable. stick to your bad attempts at metaphorical hokum. at least you can stay out of trouble.. i'm sure your own claptrap pleases little toomie and keeps him safe. but truly i say unto you, there is naught to be afraid of. no need for these childish outbursts. rock-a-bye toomie. > Your belief structure is no different that any other " true believer " . do you truly believe that you old belief structure you? do you believe that makes you different? LOL! > You feel deeply that you have discovered something of great > significance....some secret formula.....something that you claim > " other great minds " have also concluded....... I didn't say that 'my' mind was great. you consistently read into that which is written.. something which is not there...but only in your limited mind. you don't read at all actually. you're to busy trying to think about what you will say in return. and you never say anything cogent to what has been said. you just blurt out more fart material. sad...and funny too. LOL! > The reason that you are having trouble putting it into words is: > because like all secret formulas concerning the nature of > reality.....it is smoke and mirrors. kinda like you huh. no. try this dummy.. put into words: [-4}ab+ pi. x a.b=4^ cosign +/- 6g>ab at it's cubed valence.. in random non-sequence]. now that's not a " secret formula " . it's known in torsion mechanics and is employed in spacecraft design. now give it to me in words. or do you believe that spacecraft too are just a 'smoke and mirrors'? > It is the same old infantile thought process out of which all creation > stories are spun. to which all infantile refutation feels compelled to cry about. you whine a lot when you don't understand. but that's the way your thought process works. you can't help yourself. i understand. it's the same old childish toombaru...spun out as always. LOL! > It is within the arena of creativity that the infant will begin to > make his transition into the egoic-material world by finding or > discovering a " transitional object. " arena of creativity " ..hmmm. i thought you didn't believe in " creator gods " .. just " creator " kids and arenas huh? i thought you had said there are no 'things'..about a million times. now you say the infant finds " transitional object " thingies. what kind of bi-polar egoic-material world do you live in? better brush up on whatever the hell it is you are trying to say. you're sounding more like you're upset about something.. than you are sounding like you want an adult conversation. chill toombaru. it's ok to be wrong. it better be or you're in deep trouble..all the time. > This can be a blanket a teddy bear a story book or a math problem. > > All of which afford him the magical belief that he is moving toward > the primal caretaker that changed his diapers or fed him when he cried. like i said you don't get it. no one..and i mean no one.. not i..not the framer of the equation..not any of the 'great minds'.. ever is or has been talking about a 'primal caretaker'. that idea however is your prime problem. your notion of what is being discussed.. is based on your grade school ideas. did the nuns or whoever really convince you? somehow that doesn't move me. it makes me laugh. did you ever get beyond elementary school? seriously, i ask you. > He is pre-wired from childhood to seek a resolution to his inherent > existential confusion. you're confused. the infant doesn't waste it's time. it doesn't 'think' anything for it to be confused about. and sure as hell there isn't anything to think about in your b.s. besides..you ARE the thinking. that's your existential confusion. LOL! > For most this quest never ends and it sure as hell won't be resolved > in the speculation about an unsolvable math problem. the equation doesn't try and solve anything. it is a solution. there is no problem. except and only in your mind. and i doubt if that's even relevant. it's just too small an item to be considered or concerned about. it's not addressed in the equation. it's ignored as insignificant. > Grow up for Christsakes and stop thinking that you have it all figured > out. > > > > > toombaru i have nothing figured out. i've said that countless times. but you think that i think that i have figured it out. go figure. no don't try. we always wind up having to correct you.. whenever you try and figure anything out.
