Guest guest
The statement that " The object is the Subject " came from Wei Wu Wei an Irish philosopher whose real name was Terence Gray. To explain it one has to realize and to accept that the world as one sees it is a total subjective world. Because the way sensory input like objects is processed by the brain by associating and comparing it with already stored material in one's memory which then appears as so called " realty " has to appear as absolutely subjective. The world of a colour blind person appears as grey. For a deaf person sounds do no exists and for a person whose fingers are numb objects no longer own any tactility, etc etc ... Therefore any object one sees or senses will totally represent one's subjectivity. And so it is justified, logical and reasonable to say that the object IS the subject. Because " outside " of objects there exists no subject which sees or a witness which hears, tastes, feels etc. That's why for example Krishnamurti stated " You ARE the world and the world IS you " . Thats why he so often repeated that the observer IS the observed, that the thinker IS the thought, etc ... Werner
