When one looks at another person.....or at oneself....it appears that

there is someone or something " in there " .

It looks like some sort of entity lives inside that little bag of skin

and bones.

One looks at a dog or a cat and it feels like there is an actual

entity.......beyond the physical organism......that relates to the

entity inside one's personal sense of being.

One looks at a rat or a bird and the appearance of a personal entity

becomes less apparent......it seems to fade.

One looks at a salamander or a spider and it seems to be missing entirely

What if this assumption of there being an entity was entirely

unfounded in fact?

What if the entity exists only as an conceptual amalgam in the mind of

man?

What if there were no psychological entity.....no soul......no person?

What if there were just this most amazing ripple in awareness.....with

no particular location?

Could you live with that?

i dunno but..

evidently you can't.

blathering on the way that you do.

as for yourself..

i don't think there is anything " in there'..

and i don't think there's anything in what you write.

i live quite nicely as well knowing that.

by the power of the Copenhagen Interpretation i remain,

non-locally no one's.

There's a simple solution to that.

Do not read or respond to what I write.

I'm thinking that you will not be able to do that.

I'm thinking that you are as lost as all the other assumptions of self

and are here to because of the aching need to " figure things out " .

If your condition is as you claim.....there is no reason to respond to

what I write.......now or in the future.

there's no problem that i'm aware of.

what need of solution then?

i'll do whatever i like.

just like you do.

if 'we' 'do' anything at all actually.

i dunno for sure.

do 'you'?

good for you.

keep right in thinking that.

i'm not responding to 'you'.

i'm playing with me'self'.

so are 'you'.

'you' just don't enjoy it though.

that's understandable.

you have no choice.

there's nothing in it anyway.

P: How wonderful you wrote that, because I had

been thinking about how quantum events could be

non local, and just the same appear locally at

certain place and time. Maybe Toomb has a problem

visualizing that. If you are watching TV, your

program appears locally at your screen, but you

know it was filmed at another location, and at

a different time, and beamed to space, and bounced

from a satellite to your TV. That is not hard to

visualize. It's harder to think of your favorite

chair, and yourself in the same way, but, indeed,

it took the whole universe and billions of years

to make you appear locally wherever you are.

thanks Pete.

and you're right about non-locality and it's entanglement.

i think toombaru just feels he's too " in " to be f***ed with.

now that's " far out " .

there's no one really f***ing with him but himself.

toom feels he's the top of some hierarchy.

he feels he should sit in a governing chancellery.

but he sits in the same chancel as us all.

sings in the same choir.

our 'canticle for nothing' is the same song.

he thinks 'his' tune is the solo Magnificat.

i like to disabuse him of that notion.

but he can't feel the beat.

rather than telling me to go to hell...

if he desires to be choirmaster..

he should go to church.

though that may very well be telling him..

to go to the same place he tries to direct me.

:-)

And add to that the fact that " you " aren't and things get really

confusing.

And then consider that there is no such thing as a " location " anywhere

in the universe.
