This is interesting... not the same old toombaru yadayada... However, a little logic mill for you to trundle through... Your bottom line assertion is, again and again, " there is no self " ... [Agreed?] But then you speak of " the self intuiting that it simply doesn't exist. " What gives? Oh....you think that logic can be applied to the imaginary world of spirituality and religion? You cannot discover what you imagine to be the " truth " by stacking shadows. There is a logical-relativity that can be demonstrated in the physical world.....in the imaginary-conceptual there is no logic. The deeply ingrained beleif urges the body to think, feel, act in a peculiar way, such a way that to an onlooker looks like as if it (the organism) had something real to protect. (Something just started laughing here........but I'm not at all sure who that is) geo> Right. But let us not make this too ephemerous (what the hell is that?). In fact what we do to build this pseudo-image involves a trick that can be unmasked through carefull investigation. In order to have a self we must be the observer. To say " myself " is the same as to say " me the observer " . Now here comes the trick: In order to be this observer we MUST project a core of non-observation. Obviously in order to observe things outside of itself it (self) must remain un-observed. This core of non-observation is FACTUAL. This act of ignorance is not illusion, or a projection, or a thought. We actually fragment consciousness into two peaces: one is object and the other is subject, being the later son of un-observation. So there seems to be a kind of a skill in the act of looking, seeing, withouth leaving place to the un-observed observer. Consciousness as the manifested aspect of what is, this light, this manifestation that involves the senses, the body, the whole organism must be seen as one non-fragmented movement: in our case, the movement of humanity... After all this I need more then just water.... toombaru toombaru

Such is "self".BillPS: GrandBaby is great. :)nnb> > > > > What gives?> > > > How can something that does not> > exist "intuit" anything?> > > > > > > > > Don't know.> No one does.> Where did your self go?> Where did it come from?> Where did all the people....including yourself....come from in your dream last night?> Where are they now?> Are you the same person that had coffee with me that morning in Gilroy?> Am I the same person you remember?> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Who is there to be shocked?> > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Good question.> > > > > > Who's asking?> > > > the old toombaru yadayada > > > > > > Bill> > > > > > > Indeed.> > It always simmers down to that.> > > > > Hey.......How's that GrandBaby?> > > > love> > > toombaru>
