I finally figured out why I was hired!

We all know that everything ever said about any spiritual matter has a fatal

flaw......a crack....simply because all speculation by and about the ego.....and

its conceptual overlay....is based on...and arises from.....an erroneous

assumption.

We all know that all spirituality.....all religion....is the spurious sense of

separation's attempts to substantiate it own pseudo-reality and everything that

it comes up with is wrong a hundred percent of the time.

Some are wronger than others.

Some are able to compose a thought-ball and hide the crack so well that it

requires some deep thinking.......but I know its there......somewhere.

And I find it.

So......my job......as I see it.....it to search out the crack and expose it.

I know.......people get anxious when they feel exposed and the harsh light can

actually do damage to a few of them.

They quite often scurry back to their ego tunnel......search our some

companionship and plan their next attack.

For the most part....being hooked on crack is a thankless job.

And that's because when a person finally sees the light........they simply

disappear.......and there is no one left to thank me.

.......who also isn't really here.......if you know what I mean.

So if you're still here........try not to hate me.

I'm just doin my job.

What makes you think that everything said is a speculation or a concept or

some assumption?

There are ways to express the fact. And.. I mean THE fact, not some fact

among others. One is trying to find the way

from within conceptual constructs, walking within the labirinth of ideas.

Another is expression hand in hand with seeing

the whole. The later never looses sight of the big picture. Of course how

big that picture really is could be gauged/named as

" skill " or maybe depth of insight - these are all names. Considering the

later, the paradox, the flaw - as you call it - is just

aparent, imherent to the nature of words.

The self evolved to seek...it seeks food and shelter...sex and silence.

It searches for " enlightenment " or " peace " but no sense of separation ever seeks

its own demise.

It has to be tricked.

Once it dawns that there is nothing beyond its own conceptual

boundaries......it's too late.... it can't unlearn what it knows.......and the

game is over.

The play continues for a while......but without a center.

The " big picture " to the self is merely its own entire stack of post-its.

Bingo!

The self searches within its own conceptual dream for itself.

You think that there is a choice in these matters?

Do you think that Nisargadatta had a choice?

Do you think that he liked selling cigarettes in Bombay?

he might not have done anything but be himeself.

pretty much like every other being that is was and will be.

However, the results of his being brought us all together,

here on Nisargadatta , this day, April 26, 2009.

And that " not doing anything " is quite impressive to me.

I tasted cigarettes for weeks before/after joining this group.

without question.

and he neither liked nor disliked selling cigarettes.

that was the question i could see no merit in asking.

of course..i'm not doing anything by not seeing any merit.

there is neither merit nor demerit.

let's say he was done as he was done and be done with it.

but don't ask if he liked it.

of course you have no choice but to ask..

and i have no choice but to point out it's foolishness.

in these matters though..i like that too.

that's actually quite good.

Nisargadatta is the equivalent to a vending machine.

which pumps out cigarettes and falderol.

no coupons given or received.

but for those who really tend and attend that machine..

no cigarettes nor falderol..

it's always and forever empty...

of any and all merchandise.

it won't even take a plug nickle.

what or why on earth for?

would it make a difference one way or the other?

to whom?

so what?

are you sure that you chose to ask?

are you not sure?

if you were told to be sure..

how could you be sure..

that you were being asked by " someone else " ?

and how could you be sure...

if you wanted to answer or...

that you " must " ask yourself anything...

that anyone says that you " must " .

are you sure you want to know.

you must huh?

ok...go for it Don Juan...

that windmill MUST be somewhere.

I was just teasing you Bob, as in your post

there seemed to be a bit of vacillation .

But reviewing just now, maybe not...

hmmm... am I vacillating? :)

But then too I was playing off of your

" of course you have no choice but to ask " ,

in saying, " but you must ask yourself " .

And I am sure I chose to ask, at any rate.

That much is obvious.

But didn't/don't really care what the

answer might be.

Which, as it turns out, a good thing :)
