found the the most connection to Nisargadatta's later words as recorded in Prior

To Consciousness.  I also like Ramesh Balsekar's books.  I find it interesting

that all three of my favorite teachers, Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi, and Sri

Nisargadatta Mahararaj all died of throat cancer.  This is reminiscent of

Shiva's dark and poisoned throat.  I am a servant of Ma Kali and enjoy

singing/kirtan devoted to this revelation of the Absolute.  I look forward to

group discussion on this site!

The conceptual mind evolved to look for patterns.

It saw the relationship of the stars to the seasons and extrapolated that into

astrology in its attempt to forecast its own future.

It will toss bones on the ground or try to interpret tea leaves or the lines on

its hands in its attempts to chart its way through its private dream of

separation.

It seeks commonalities in it perceptual input but the fact that all three men

died of cancer means essentially nothing.

If I remember right Ramana died of cancer on his arm.
