It's just that something was postulated ( " a true nature " ) that doesn't refer to anything. The negation occurred when someone postulated something that didn't need to be posulated, as if something was being added to the conversation. The negation occurred when someone thought it was important to refer to something essential, underlying, and to try to postulate this in affirmative words. The affirmative words are the negation. Go as deep as you can on each flash...alwasys deep. Who am I? -geo- Atagrasin:If we accepts Maharaj´s own testimony about his realization in three years as final and complete [ " full stop " as Sailor Bob says]then, where we are going to put your argument about a " progresive " " flash by flash " way? Maybe this was what happens in those three years, but who really knows? We first need to know, to what Maharaj was referring, with his statement about " realizing in three years my true nature " ,and there seems to be, that nobody here [in his own group]knows the answer. But what we really know is that language produce the appearance of choice and control. Then if our expectation are met,we claim responsability for an " achievement " , be this spiritual or not, missing the point that our theorical constructions [including ,future realizations and a " me " that had realize something,in time]are only structures of interpretations and representations. In other words, imaginations and abstractions in reference to nothing outside of themselves. In this sense Dan and Toomboru are echoing ,the middle way Buddhism when it says that, there is not a " true nature " if by " true nature " we mean an autonomous substance, entity,or something with inherent existence. What do I know directly, " so " - now. What doesn't take time, isn't constructed by me or anyone else. Nisargardatta constructed a statement. You constructed a reaction. Words were offered and read. All involving time and construction. What was never constructed - say anything about it, yea or nay, and you are involved in constructing. How are you going to say it? How to tell about it? How to tell when there isn't anyone to report it to? This has nothing to do with anything Nisargadatta ever said, nor with anything he experienced, or any particular hero of yours who you think is nondual. I know directly. I post here because I'm human and communicate. I know directly and know the human being for what it is. Bubbles burst and blow away in the wind. The human experience. " Being a human being " is something others perceive us as (or not). To myself, I am not a human being.

Atagrasin; Asking a question in the Nisargadatta group, about a statement made by Nisargadatta himself, give you the impression that Nisargadatta is my hero?
