jesus was worried.

 

he had been pulling it of for a few months now.

 

the walking on water deal.

 

he'd tell the disciples that he had to go pray alone at night.

 

secrety... under the darkness of night..

 

he would go down to the shore rolling a huge barrel of olive oil.

 

he would pour it into the surface of the shore waters...

 

and sneak back to wherever they had camped..

 

and come out and say:

 

" couldn't you stay awake with me while i prayed?! "

 

that always made the boys feel bad.

 

guilt..that's what they need he thought.

 

well anyway he would take them in the early am to the shore..

 

and say " stand back while i display the glory of god " .

 

then he would walk right out over the waters..

 

and because he had the layer of oil on it..

 

as he had figured out before..

 

he didn't sink.

 

the message was for the boys to gain faith.

 

they didn't understand the power of belief.

 

he couldn't figure out why...

 

but he was hoping they never found out about the oil.

 

he didn't want them to not think he was performing a miracle.
