" One picks up their trash, and places it in the wastebasket " (an older post here

by someone, paraphrased)

Nisargadatta: " To go beyond the mind, you must have your mind in perfect order.

You cannot leave a mess behind and go beyond. The mess will bog you up. 'Pick up

your rubbish' seems to be the universal law. And a just law too. "

Nothing being avoided, ever. One realizing that whatever arises, is oneself,

and is to be seen as such. This is the " ceaseless trash pickup " that results in

clean, clear thought.

Avoiding everything always. One realizing that whatever arises, is not

oneself, and is to be seen as such. This is the " ceaseless trash pickup "

that results in clean, clear thought.

Is it working, now? Is all now perfectly clear? Is all the nonsense gone?

If so, congrachoomalations ;-).

If not, it's not working.

P.S. dunno why you put " Tim/Geo " in the same sentence, either. We haven't met,

haven't even talked on the phone... dunno what the other looks like, or 'thinks

like' or nuthin. This is between " Tim and Tim " , or between " Geo and Geo " .

Period.

The 'mixing it up' on mailing lists only mixes things up ;-). Either folks are

here to get mixed up, or get clear... no two ways about it.

It's so silly, asking these questions of 'others', addressed as 'you'. All

avoidance.

Round, and round, and round. No intermission at all, just repetition.

neti, neti is not avoidance.

understanding that one is no object that can be defined, thought, or experienced

is non-avoidance.

it is not getting caught in an objectification.

getting caught, entangled, is the attempt to avoid, the attempt to keep a self

(that has relations), the attempt to blame or desire an other (even another

moment, another experience).

Sense of self is the essence of avoidance. It is a fragment of the object

felt as subject.

Sense of 'other' is also the essence of avoidance.

Perhaps could be seen as even more the essence, where " interaction between

people " is involved.

All need for others is need for oneself.

Sense of self, the getting away from what is, opens a " space " where the

whole movement takes place - me, you, them, will be, should have not....

any need for oneself..

puts itself squarely and instantaneously outside of one..

it sets up a distinction.

need drops out when false distinction is eliminated.

it's only natural actually.
