Guest guest
observer or observed are relative to time and space, but " observation " is absolute.that is why in the state of witnessing, observer and observed are diminished and only observation remains. Guest guest
This is the greatest meditation, to come upon this extraordinary thing, for the mind to discover for itself the observer is the observed.> > > > 2nd Public Dialogue, Brockwood Park, England, 6th Sept. 1973> > "The observer is the observed".> > "The ego seen is the ego seeing".> > Peace, all. -t- Why quote? It is as if there was a need for some authority's opininion to justify...(you see even K agrees with me) - which means there is doubt. -geo-

Guest guest
in another word, disassociation from everything, but you can think about the formal meaning of witnessing ie.watching without introducing anything, such as a comment etc. and you don't need to madidate for achieving this state because it should appear in " everybody's daily life " randomly. It is enough to direct the full attention to mind's " daily works " as many times as possible. Guest guest
good morning werner, like how you would call ligth when its reflected by a media. visual universe? in the witnessing state(w.s.) there is no definition like " yes this is w.s. " . (again and again analogies!), light is dark until it is reflected. you can not talk about witnessing without deforming it until providing a disassociation of attention from the thougt (in the belief level normally) " this is my sound- I am talking etc. " witness watches all sounds -furthermore watches all perceptions - at the same distance without classifying as " mine " or " others' " which are always, imlicitly or explicitly, the first deviation from w.s. werner remember that this conversation ,like all others, is limited by the mind( in this case by the mutual set of yours and mine) and therefore it impossible to reach to an ultimate point where can be said that " that is " . So why this conversation is revealed and continiued?
