Hello! I'm new here too. So far, I'm pleased with the authenticity of the

scholarly acumen available here.

Eh, folks, is there a resident guru here to whom all turn for an authoritative

delineation? I'm happy with Geo for the nonce.

Geo,

The best way to get rid of Bob-the-Fecalist is no longer to react to any of his

posts.

Everyone who is reacting and replying to Bob will hold him here and he won't

leave. Bob needs attention and can't live without it. Please, ignore him and

don't give him any more attention. Let him famish ...

I know it is difficult for most people when thoughts are appearing to renounce

and not to express them. To abondon the urge to react and to express one's

thought is kind of a small death but you will survive it and you will gain

strenght.

Geo,

Bob is calling you an asshole because he knows how weak you are to react. He

needs your reaction to go on and on with his game - your reaction is feeding his

need for attention.

For heaven's sake get strong, Geo.

Next time I will tell you a bit about the term 'Identification with the

Aggressor'.

Geo,

Wait just a durned second; are you charging me for your answers? Have you got a

brochure and a fee schedule?

Werner,

My outer gurus are legion but Nisargadatta and Ramana are the ones who have

pushed me the most to walk the talk and do inquiry. So they push, and the inner

guru, er, um, sucks? Hee hee.

But, yeah, I do need a guru, right? I do need an object of consciousness

(thorn) to remove my attachments to objects of consciousness in general (other

thorns,) and outer gurus serve me quite well in terms of giving me concepts to

battle my personal psychological indulgences in objects of consciousness that

are re-iterated and saturate my nervous system with pathways that will echo

again and again in my future mind.....by fixation on ideation we build the

platform for future noise, ya see?

The inner guru, THAT, is still masked by at least two veneers -- 1. Personal God

(say, Brahma) pretending to be able to manifest anything, but conveniently not

mentioning that, enlightenment, " freedom from qualities. " is not on His

restaurant's menu. Can't buy that dish there -- not for money, or loyalty, or

relentlessness or one's first born sliced up on an altar. (And, hey, He couldn't

create a single thing until He got it that He had to first do tapas,

((samyama,)) right? That is, surrender to the Absolute -- NOT His own ability

to create.) And 2. Personhood, ego, individuality, isolation, etc. as the most

immediate patina-status that prods one to pretend God isn't creating thoughts

but that, instead, it is one's clockworks that are doing so -- instead of seeing

them arising from egoic-amness which has a transcendental status of universality

-- a sole soul for all -- the ultimate Mask.

Who sees our thoughts -- THAT. Who takes credit for it? Me and God, cuz we

confuse the ability to generate a thought with the Living Intent that triggered

it. God can argue and win in court that He's the only One around who could

possibly pull of omniscience or at least a good faking of omniscience that could

be the basis of generating thoughts, but Godel put God in His place: God can

only delineate conceptual truths -- not the non-conceptualities. God deals with

what is. The Absolute is large enough to include non-conceptuality too....and

beyond.

God asked, " Where am I? "

An answer came: " Everywhere. "

God asked, " Everywhere? Are you sure? Is there anywhere that I am not? "

An answer came: " Yes, You are not nowhere. You are not present in

non-existence. "

God said, " Fucking hell you say? Well, I'll show you, I'll go nowhere too, and

be nothing to the hilt, I'll just show you. I'll do 'Be Coming.' I'll expand

My Beingness into nothingness. "

A reply: " Um, better talk to the Absolute if you're gunna try that. "

Edg,

For me it is quite difficult if not impossible to give you an anwer which will

be just to you and satisfy your hunger for wisdom.

I myself have thrown all these ideas overboard because they are just ballast.

Especially Ramana, no matter how promising and beatiful his words, will just

make you greedy and finally desperate not being able to fulfill those promises.

He should be the first to say good-bye to.

Werner,

Hmmmmm, I don't do puja to Ramana, but he and Nisargadatta did yagyas, pujas,

rites, propitiations, etc. They recognized that Bhakti was a secondary spiritual

technique that was a more easily marketed technique to the masses than self

inquiry in that an object of consciousness can be provided for the ego to " carry

a chain like an elephant is when it's given to keep his trunk from mischief. "

Yet, I don't believe either of them thought that reincarnation was a case of a

soul transmigration event.

Still, worshiping the Godhead (putting awareness upon amness, pure being,) gets

one so close to the Absolute -- down there at the ritam level of creation where

emotions are as solid as oak -- and from walking along that fence between amness

and amness expressed as a combination of the three gunas, one can " slip into "

pure being quite easily -- temporarily in samadhi.

Getting jiggy with that method of transcendence and residing in amness/soul, the

practiced ego is able to see that OM (the buzz of amness) is the primal sound

which can be modulated into any other sound. (In the beginning was the word . .

..) This is the birth of God.

And, the ego attaches to amness instead of any of the manifestations of amness

(captures the fort of the territory instead of trying to capture the various

outlying buildings.) This is a saint....a saint that is attached to being/God

so intimately that the saint's mind is filled only with material that harmonizes

with OM in a fundamental sense.

This attachment is the last bond to break before enlightenment: the organism

must recognize (cognize again) that it has never been sentient but merely is a

clockworks that is God's attempt to embody infinity, and the clockworks

mistakenly assumes authorship of the mind's contents. Thus the clockworks fails

like a map cannot be the territory (for all have fallen short of the glory of

God.) Holy Sin that, but sin nonetheless that keeps the organism pretending

its an observer when its eyesight cannot see the contents of the dark. As if.

At this point, yin cannot see yang.

Then, flipflop, soul sees that Identity identifies with Identity -- and that

amness' beauty and power and fecundity cannot entice Identity into any attaching

to its magnificence despite being perfect. Having clarity about this status,

the ego dies -- becomes a burnt rope -- becomes only what it has always been --

an editorial function, a mental dynamic. At last soul is at peace with this

understanding, this realization that there never has been any suffering exactly

as no ventriloquist's dummy has ever suffered even though the dummy has

complained and whined and cried and shouted and, and, and. Where there is no

sentience, no pain can be felt.

After this comfort with amness is gained, the GREAT FLIPFLOP becomes likely.

The inner guru tells you: " that's it. There's no more to acquire. You're the

owner of all the laws of creation, can do anything 'from here,' but, but, but,

don't. Doing can only be done by a doer, and you've got the tee shirt for that

already, eh? So, just let go and let God, Me, do all the creating. While

you've stepped aside and are letting me do the work, note that you're on the

other side residing in your eternal status beyond relativity. Note that

suddenly, you are no longer " merely God.' Enjoy true freedom. "

Like that.

That's the deal. Getting out of the Dummies R Us business.

The soul has to finally realize the even God is a ventriloquist's dummy.

And you never, no not ever, ever, ever, see the Absolute's lips move.

Edg

Ego,

Thanks for the poem -- it'll take a bit of rereading to see if I can pump my

beliefs into it. My biggest immediate challenge is to see if I agree that the

Absolute can be found to be saying " I'm nothing. " Eeek....has to be a thinker

to do that, eh?

Outta here...might post more later, but probably not until tomorrow. I'm

enjoying this.
