Of course I'll respect someone's grief. As you well know, that has nothing to do with anything happening on the list here. You've made it up as a straw-man argument, although to address what I'm entirely unclear.

It is not knowledge of the mind, or sensations....but a fucking obvious " fact " . P: Define a fucking fact. If we are in agreement that all we are aware of are perceptions, then how can you know an absolute as a fact? You are projecting and objectifying a perception that you label absolute. geo> It is so obvious!! Er...how shell I say...just for the sake of the " discussion " let us conceive absolute non-existence. Is it not obvious that what IS is not -non-existence? But one can inquire is why it's needed? What role does it play in your life? Why is what you perceive right now not enough? What's wrong with your thinking right now? Why there is no deep calm, right now? Why there is no acceptance of what is right now? If awareness and unawareness are equally acceptable then life and death are equally acceptable, and there is freedom to be, or not to be. >

LOL... " Bobby " is as much God as " Tim " am. The universe ain't divided. But everyone seems to think they're separate from everyone else, and are in control of something. The idea that one has no separate existence has no power and is of no value. The reasl power has the psyche and its condioned responses. We are brought up and trained to believe to have a separate existence and everyone else we meet was trained the same way. It is a global belief, a global conditioning and a global training. And now comes along well meaning idealist Tim with his little Advaita and says " The universe ain't divided " . What will that idea bring about ? Not the least, nothing, nada. But the words themselves are valueless, do not help anyone else realize this. > We are brought up and trained to believe to have a separate > existence and everyone else we meet was trained the same way. One has to break away from this 'global' thinking, from the notion that " I am one of them " . Society goes out of one's system, altogether. > And now comes along well meaning idealist Tim with his little > Advaita and says " The universe ain't divided " . Why should Werner care, then? If Tim is so meaningless, why reply to his posts at all? Is it that Werner wants to 'instruct' Tim in something? But I thought ideas had no power whatsoever, at least in the last sentence. What happened? ;-).
