Perpetrating the illusion

If it's true that we only 'exist' when we think of ourselves,

Then the fact is that most of the time, we do not exist.

" Continuity " of self is an illusion. We are only 'there' when a thought arises

about us.

So, how is the illusion perpetrated and perpetuated, then?

Simple -- by ensuring that we 'think of ourselves' as often as possible, so as

to maintain a sense of imaginary security about our continuity.

And... the easiest way to do this... is to imagine a number of 'personal

problems' or 'issues' that we have --

So, that we may 'think of ourselves' and 'our problems' as often as possible --

So, that we may imaginarily exist, unceasingly, as thought.

So -- does one imagine that, perhaps, all our problems are really imaginary?

No, it is not true, Tim,

and therefore also the following text is also not true nor is it a fact that

most of the time we do not exist.

Again, the above is not true. And therefore also all your following conclusions

are not true.

But:

It is the mechanism of separation which is causing the illusion of me and not

the thinking about me. Only when there is a separation between the thinker and

the thought then the illusion of me thinking about me can arise.

Separation results from 'will' together with attention directed to the body.

Just look at some object in your room and you will realize a separation between

the 'looker' which is the body and that object which gets looked at.

Moreover, this is so obvious, it's amazing it could be missed.

And of course here is the one addressing someone repeatedly as " Tim " , as though

afraid of something... perhaps, afraid just to not be argumentative for a

change, to consider something instead of immediately railing against it? ;-).

Or, afraid of their own and/or other's nonexistence, so as to repeatedly repeat

the first name, over and over again, like an infant using a pacifier.

No Tim,

The 'I' is not just thought. But it is thought togehter with attention directed

at the body. Both must happen at the same time. Only then the illusion of a

'thinking me' can arise.

The body is a thought, too. One thinks of the body when addressing attention at

the body.

> Both must happen at the same time. Only then the illusion of

Well, when it happens to one often, they would know well... so I will defer to

you.

Aside from that, it's obvious that Werner's main interest is to be

argumentative, not to consider ideas together with someone, look together at the

truth. So why waste time? Enjoy the forum, my good fellow. I am really done

with your posts for now.

you sure talk a lot about yourself..

i mean as a self that isn't aware of itself.

are you afraid of the self that you aren't aware of?

how the fuck does that work?

methinks (without thinking of me of course)..

that you're a wee bit screwed up.

don't think of your " I " and get pissed now.

of course you never do right.

this shit of yours just appears out of nowhere.

well then timmy..

don't think of the self that you're not either no way.
