Guest guest
I had a short conversation about speaking the truth with one of the members of my Middle East Peace Forum... This is not just idle talk, net *entertainment*. He related a conversation that was quite *strong* against Jews in light of Palestinian suffering. The Palestinian/Israeli issue is very complicated and cannot be easily seen through were it not for seeing it from an uncomplicated viewpoint. The question is how do we speak the truth without offending the other side...for this is where dialogue breaks down. Truth, of course, is a double-edged sword. It's a dangerous thing to walk its sharp thin blade. To fall on either side, one kills the conversation, so to speak. I end with my new signature line from Helen Keller, who knew not sound or sight, but somehow surpassed both. " I do not want peace which passeth understanding, I want the understanding which bringeth peace. " ~ Helen Keller So boys have fun, as long as no one loses an *I*.... lol. ~A
