" > The above does not refer to supposed 'others', but to what is 'here, now'. Not what is perceived to be 'there', in others. Anytime an other is addressed about what they are doing, one can only project knowledge from one's own past experiences. Period. This is as true for Nisargadatta as anyone else. It is simply how human speech, communication, memory and relationship are constructed. If you ask how I know this, I know it based on past experience, which I'm projecting as I speak, as if to an audience. As for " what is " : There is no projection involved.
