Bob's gruffness as " i " see it is to do what Nis says, " Discard all...You cannot

let go of anything until you know what it is...Like a man digging a well, do not

stop until you hit water...Discard all until all that is left is

nothing...Believe me there cannot be too much destruction. "

The above does not refer to supposed 'others', but to what is 'here, now'. Not

what is perceived to be 'there', in others. One cannot discard, or even access

in the first place, what is in others. So, I disagree.

I fell in love with Bob immediately, as I have with everyone... it takes a whole

lot of digging to get to the place where I am not love.

It starts with intention. Who is there to defend?

Bob has never intended to be anyone other than Bob, even with all his aliases.

;-)

Some folks are just a bit too blind to their own self-image.

HA!

Love and laughter, peace and joy,

Anna

How close up can we get?

Can we get so close up, that our perspective reverses?

Yes, good point.

There are no others involved.

Anytime an other is addressed about what they are doing, one can only project

knowledge from one's own past experiences.

Period.

This is as true for Nisargadatta as anyone else.

It is simply how human speech, communication, memory and relationship are

constructed.

If you ask how I know this, I know it based on past experience, which I'm

projecting as I speak, as if to an audience.

As for " what is " :

There is no projection involved.

And no investment in a strategy, a consistent plan of attack, a practiced

formula.
