Attempt signifies that there is energy applied toward a goal.

 

The goal is to try to make a belief, a desire, be actual.

 

The intent (attempt, desire) is to have an existence.

 

The actuality is that there is no existence to be had.

 

Thus, the attempt is contradiction.

 

Beneath the intent is fear, anxiety, perpetuating itself as if a self.

 

The anxiety involves avoidance.

 

Thus, it is by being this anxiety without attempting to move away that one

understands one's activity, and the contradictory nature of the activity.

 

Understanding is the ceasing of the activity.

 

One lives as the fear, as the contradiction, as the inability to establish

existence.

 

One is free.
