In matters spiritual... nobody knows anything. No one has any idea what's going on. But there is this most alert sentience. It will never be able to see itself. What is unfolding is just a chain of memories, always " as if. " To try to exist in a memory chain, to be sentient there, to explore wonder, is delusion. No matter how it can be prettied up, no matter how much of an adventure it can be made to look like ... it's pretense, wishful thinking. It misses the mark. It is " dukkha " ... unsatisfying angst. And, it is choiceless. It is a twist, a distortion, that seems to happen, " as if, " because it is remembered to have happened that way. And there is the attempt to try to exist there, having that experience. One instant of natural unimpeded awareness. Poof! There is no living there, in memory. There is no wonder to explore there. One just is. No yearning, no trying, no existing, no nonexisting. And sure, express yourself however you want. Write whatever you have to say. You can't help it, I can't help saying this. How much of your sense of reality can possibly be stripped away? What is left when all of it is gone?
