Some years before he died Krishnamurti made that statement " 60 years and not a

single one changed " .

For 60 years he gave innumerous talks and discussions all over the world, talked

to millions of people, had private discussions with ten thousands of visitors,

wrote a hundred books, had distributed his talks on tapes and videos and finally

his resume of all his endeavours was that not a single one changed.

The same happens with all gurus or anti-gurus, with all philosophies, with all

religions and teachings including Advaita.

And all those spiritual or phiosophical groups like this one also will fail.

They are just kind of entertainment and nothing more.

Why is that ?

Great questions.

Returning to us to the original questions: what is enlightenment, who gets

enlightened and who can enlighten whom? (The question is there such a thing as

enlightenment always lurks in the background.)

My answer: Yes....and....No.

I've been on a strange ride for the last 60 some years of my life. Started I

think with my first recognition of awareness, and I doubt it will end with *end*

since I doubt it started with my *begininning*.

Hi Anna,

You also missed the real issue. The original question was not enlightenment but

why did all religions and philosophies fail.

Krishnamurti once said if love would be teachable the world would be full of

lovers.

Therefore all that babbling of love and preaching it has failed and will fail.

Same with psychological change: All religions and philosophies failed with

fundamentally changing the human psyche.

how could worlds ever change?.....

the enlightenment business is just a business like any other business....

it serve to have some occupation...doing some nice things....

earn some money....

and be happy

.....

Marc

Ps: the nature of worlds involves some roles for/of so called spiritual

teachers.....and also gardeners, dentists, teachers, taxi-driver....etc etc

whoever plays whatever roles is of complete unimportance....

Perhaps that was Your original question, my darling Werener: " why did all

religions and philosophies fail " . It wasn't mine.

Mine was *enlightenment* and what that meant when I found it/reached it.

Werner, it is you who bring up the issue of love, along with Krishnamurti' name.

Love is not a human emotion that can be taught by any religion or philosophy.

Love is the cosmos of human experience.

It is the vibration of BEING.

And can only be experienced firsthand.

Yes.

To end is to begin.

To begin is to end.

The awareness at the beginning is the awareness at the end.

There isn't any accumulation.
