Questioner: If there is no advantage in gaining the Supreme, then why take the

trouble?

Nisargadatta Maharaj: There is trouble only when you cling to something. When

you hold on to nothing, no trouble arises. The relinquishing of the lesser is

the gaining of the greater. Give up all and you gain all. Then life becomes what

it was meant to be: pure radiation from an inexhaustible source. In that light

the world appears dimly, like a dream.

Kind of paradoxical so many of us feel attracted to our bright lit

'inexhaustible source' LCD screens in this 'dimly world' these days...

It's an older-style Diamondtron-type flat screen here, for whatever it's worth

;-).

Most of the attraction comes from the illusion of socializing, even though it's

" just me " sitting here typing, reading, and imagining " you out there " . Or, no

such imagining is happening, and one does it for the enjoyment (or whatever it

is).

Whatever's here is just like a baby counting its toes, playing with yo-yos,

listening to fluorescent lights hum, etc... that's all ;-).
