P: I agree with Ramesh regarding awareness, but consciousness at rest is another useless term. Consciousness at rest is the same as unconsciousness, so why not call it that? " is part of a Shankara statement.....as far i remember....he said, that instead of " seer, seen and seing " , there is nothing but the " Absolute reality " .... ....to get back to your words.... maybe, nowadays....due to some Gurus and Teachers of this recent centuries....they, again, translated such " absolute reality " into a " Now " ......
