Religion is an important part of the horizontal thought stream.

For the self.....it a refuge in its imaginary isolation.

Religion.......or any belief in a higher power......functions to keep the

machinery greased and the sense of self stupified.

But.......for a few......who journey this most peculiar road.....it is a block

that will stop the search in its tracks.

It gives the sense that the truth of things is already at hand.

Why are things the way they are?

Well...........that's because God made it that way.

There is an alternative but is doesn't involve God and his legions.

Man has always sought what he considered god, truth, always striven after it,

out of fear out of his hopelessness, out of his despair, disaster, death, he has

sought it. And thought he found it. And the discovery of that he began to

organize. And, you remember that famous story - the devil and his friend were

walking one day down the street and they saw a man in front of them pick up

something very shiny. And the man looked at it in great delight, ecstasy. And

the friend of the devil asked, what was that, what did he pick up. Oh, he said,

the devil said, oh, it is part of the truth. And the friend says, then it's a

very bad business for you, if a man has found truth on a pavement, it's very bad

business, you will have no place. He said, not at all my friend, I'm going to

help him to organize it. Right?

If K would be still alive you could discuss your question with him but not with

me. K said a lot about religion, mainly because most of his visitors wanted to

speak about it.

Here a short excerpt:

K: You see religion is based on tradition. Religion is vast propaganda, as it is

now. In India, here, anywhere, propaganda of theories of beliefs, of idolatry,

worship, essentially based on the acceptance of a theory.

Goodness is the very essence of culture. Religion is the transformation of man.

Not all the beliefs, churches and the idolatry of the Christians or the Hindus.

That's not religion.

There's a saying not to discuss religion or politics. However, in a sense

nonduality is the discussion of the politics of religion.

Most folks don't want to talk about love, there's nothing to say, really. Just

music, poetry, carnal love. The spiritual nature of man.

Ok, you are an expert in nonduality, Anna, and I am not. Yout must discuss this

with someone else

I also don't want to talk about love. But you are an expert in love and as it

seems also an expert of the spiritual nature of man. I have no idea what that

is. You must discuss this with other experts on this list.

What about when there's no music or poetry or carnal love available?

What of one who is aging, ugly, financially stressed, hungry, diabetic, poor

hearing, a deceased spouse, and no one interested in carnal love?

What love is available for this one?

And is that a love that is different for the one who is young, healthy, a great

musician, dancer, and lover?

What is the primordial love?

What is your original body, before your parents conceived you?
