Guest guest
When the objective was seen to be illusory here, it came as a huge shock. The 'outer' is the 'inner'. This computer is merely an 'externalized' representation of thought. It is connected to a 'surge protector' (surges of anxiety?) that reads: " Protected. Grounded " . The thermostat dial on the wall reads, " comfort zone " . There is no such thing as objectivity. The shock is shattering. The rug is pulled out. One is alone. But oh friendly fate, there still is a brain steering the iullusionary body to drive a car which is no-car, to go shopping and recognizing no-bananas as bananas and no-apples as apples. What a shock, a no-apple is an apple is an apple is an apple ... no-Werner

Arguments about words, downright meanness. Makes you wanna think it was always present and absolutely nothing has changed. ~A

Very nice, Tim, well-said and thanks. Yes, the computer is an " externalized " representative. So is a tree. There is no " outside " that energy comes from. So, the energy being interpreted as " a tree out there " is the energy right here, now, coming through, as " me. " I am the tree seen out there. With no outside, I have no inside. Therefore, I am timeless and spaceless. I generate time and space by locating things, having experiences, and relating the things and experiences. The conflicts I've experienced with things, people, and events that had an impact on me - all of these are the projection of feeling states that came and went. Memory activation leads to new projections, and gives a feeling of continuity to the conflicts, reproachmants, and rest of the dramas. The solidity of things, and people, and feelings, is directly proportional to my intent to attach to a sense of solidity. No attaching, no solidity. I formulate the notion that my thoughts are separate from what I am seeing. Thus, I can have a concept of a computer, while a real computer exists out there, apart from what I think about it. Yes, when this division breaks down, it is a shock. The wall of separation between me and the universe, between my thinking and perceiving and the things and people I think about and perceive - is not there. You make a good point about surge protectors, leading me to this prayer: Oh Lord, protect me and all of us from surges of anxiety. Be my surge protector. You are out there, to protect me from surges, Lord? Lord? Hey everybody, I'm not sure the Lord is out there to protect us. Hey everybody? Is anybody out there?
