Guest guest
What we call enlightenment is merely an alternative way to interpret the incessant perceptual input stream. When critical mass has been reached......no longer is the pseudo-reality of the conceptual overlay the primary reality. Now the edges that used to separate things blur and the sense of being finds its self being pulled along wherever the river is going. When separate things disappear......the desire to possess them evaporates. Enlightenment has infinite gradations that range from a slightly diffused sense of self to an almost total loss of the personal identity. A most pleasant lightness of being comes long with the loss of self-centeredness that.....depending on the individual.....can range from a easy high-indifference all the way to an almost permanent blissfull awe. Oddly the spiritual search occurs in the arena in which things are the coin of the land and it is the search itself that keeps enlightenment at bay. Pretty funny huh? toombaru
