" long of a stick " -- was that a typo?

Ahhh but I said that your posts create a harmonic dissonance in the organism

here.

No matter how well combined.....words can only approach the emptiness.

There is a reason why those who have been squeezed through the hour glass don't

hang out.

I know that you know.

When one has lost their center......even the words of the greatest sage will

muddy the clarity.

Toomb,

Words won't approach anything, neither emptiness nor your mind.

Words are verbal contents of consciousness and are created by the brain to

evetually get communicated.

Clarity, is a word. And an experience. For me it is being

so well-grounded in *Being-emptiness-without center* that *I Am*

is an unshakable foundation AND an ephemeral wisp of nothing.

A dream of reality, a reality within a dream.

That is just an idea what clraity could mean, Anna. But it definitely is not

clarity.

And in addition I suspect you just want to impress with babbling something which

might sound smart and intellectual.

I myself have no idea what clraity is and I also can't remember I ever had

experienced such a thing.

Your opinion of me is duly noted Werner, as it always has been. Nor am I here

to argue with you, I'm just stating my recollections of my experiences.

I trust what you say " I myself have no idea what clarity is and I can't remember

Anna, please wait,

When I am broke, my wife ran off with another guy and my friends avoid meeting

me then my mind will get emotionally in uproar. A dozend different contradicting

and emotionally loaden thoughts will chase each other and this state is called

confusion.

When the confusion and emotional tumult has settled down and is gone will that

state now be clarity or will it just be that daily life which has been before ?

Is the absence of confusion clarity ? Or is the absence of confusion just the

normal and usual daily life ?

When you check and think about so called positive states and positive values do

they really exist or are they just defined by the absence of their negative

counterpart ?

Thank you for asking Werner.

I won't go into the details, but I have experienced what you speak of.

Confusion happens. It's part and parcel of the *human condition*.

So is wanting clarity, a way out of confusion. Peace of mind.

>

> When the confusion and emotional tumult has settled down and is gone will that

Both. This is a nondual world. We vacillate between opposites depending on our

experiences, depending on how firm our ground of being is....and that depends on

how we have balanced the *opposites* inherent in being alive.

We want the fruits of happiness but we sow the seeds of unhappiness

simultaneously.

>

> Is the absence of confusion clarity ? Or is the absence of confusion just the

normal and usual daily life ?

Confusion and clarity are held in exact polarity until and unless

our daily life is in *balance*. That can only be obtained without

images of images of *clarity* and *confusion*.

Daily life IS both. Else how could I live joyfully while seeing the

suffering of the world? Else how could I see your joy and be happy

for your joy while I am suffering?

>

> When you check and think about so called positive states and positive values

I've stopped looking at things as positive and negative a long time ago. It's

psychobabble, mostly. A friend recently threw me out of her life because I was

being *negative* and she didn't want negativity in her life. And this is the

friend that endlessly took me to task on the net. All a sham... never facing

HER real issues.

But we do what we do until we know better.

The only note-worthy absence that I acknowledge is the mental construct of who

we think we are based on assumptions, presumptions and underdeveloped

understanding of advaita (since we are on, after all, an advaitin group),

spirituality in general.

We're just mainly uncooked, green, not fully developed. Seeing that

in oneself, one sees it as the human condition.

I am not, nor will I ever be finished growing and cooking, even as I am quite

perfect. ;-)

P: I know that you know that what you

wrote above is just an excuse.

The psychological reason is that you still

want " your will done " , even

when intellectually you believe that

there is no will nor choice. Yet you instinctively

view my request as a conflict of wills in which

it's important for you not to give in.

P: Clarity is a sudden sharp understanding

of something you didn't understand before.

A mind that is alert, unworried, free of

occluding emotions is in state of receptive clarity.

Wow, Pete,

This is happening very often to me but I didn't know that it was clarity. For me

that was my daily life.

But now I know that I am blessed with clarity, hooray, hooray, hooray !

:)

No no, not playing, Anna,

my telling of not being aware of my clarity was the expression of my deep rooted

humbleness and modesty.

:)

Well.... throw me a line, and I'll fall for it hook line and sinker.

I can't help it, it's quite addicting, and it's the way I'm drawn

to *you*. and now I wouldn't be surprised if you were .b.b.b's alter ego,

perhaps even Toomie.

I suppose, there's a little of Werner in all of us.

;-)

Love.
