Namaste W,

If you really understood Diwali in its origins, you would see it is no more

religious than, the harvest festival, blodmonth of the Saxons, or any festival.

Religion came later...Diwali actually was brought into India from a colder

darker region and putting lights on in the winter was celebrated. It predates

any of the religious figures.

Anyway I thought Obam explained it well and I know he meant it well, even if he

is talking to a political constituency. Obamas is a prisoner of his job like

anybody else.........Anyway Cheers and Happy Diwali....Tony.

Thanks, Toni,

Before I posted I checked Wiki and read about that Diwali and it was about

relgious superstion, new moon rituals etc.

If old folks believed in the resurrection of the sun or that of Jesus its

background as usual is socio-politics.

No thanks ...

Truth is a very very very large word, Tony, which btw, I never use in any

argumentaion.

In short, I don't have the least idea what truth is or does.
