that's easy.

did you ever have a Mr. Potato Head when you were a kid?

you must remember..

maybe Santa brought you one for Christmas?

all the kids wanted one.

it was a round plastic potato shaped thing ..

with attachments you could pin on it:

buggy eyes..

big lipped red mouth..

floppy ears..

big nose..

spindly insect like legs..

sometimes it had an attachable long curly wig..

maybe a bowler like hat to go top it all off for kicks?

that was fun to play with!

now have you ever seen an ordinary banana?

just a green or yellow or brown banana.

no " personality " to it at all.

very mundane and plain.

if green..hard and tasteless..

if yellow..cowardly in appearance.

if brown..mushy and useless.

oops..

now maybe it's not so easy to say..

which one is more alike then.

it's a matter of opinion i guess.

but either one could do.

now as for me..

i want what Gayla Peevey sang about in 1953:

" I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas:

mi mi mi mi..ahem:

" i want a hippopotamus for Christmas

only a hippopotamus will do

don't want a doll..no dinky Tinker Toy

i want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy

i want a hippopotamus for Christmas

i don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?

he won't have to use our dirty chimney flue

just bring him through the front door..

that's the easy thing to do

i can see me now on Christmas morning,

creeping down the stairs

oh what joy and what surprise

when i open up my eyes

to see a hippo hero standing there

i want a hippopotamus for Christmas

only a hippopotamus will do

no crocodiles, no rhinoceroses

i only like hippopotamuses

and hippopotamuses like me too

mom says the hippo would eat me up, but then

teacher says a hippo is a vegeterian

there's lots of room for him in our two-car garage

i'd feed him there and wash him there and give him his massage

i can see me now on Christmas morning..

creeping down the stairs

oh what joy and what surprise

when I open up my eyes

to see a hippo hero standing there

i want a hippopotamus for Christmas

only a hippopotamus will do

no crocodiles or rhinoceroseses

i only like hippopotamuseses

and hippopotamuses like me too! "

but come to think of it..

even though i'm more hippopotamus than potato or banana..

a fun toy werner would be ok too.

:-)

..b b.b.

Ok, what makes them potatoes and bananas, can you substantiate your comment by

providing some content of their teaching that illustrates the difference?

How are their philosophies different?
