He adds spice and flavor to this forum and he keeps the " knowledge " , " realization " , " teaching and preaching " as well as associated big 'ego' (which according to its holders, doesn't exist) in check. I think without Bob, this forum will become like dry, boring church. It will have lot of " teachings " which might appeal as 'nonduality 101' some very newcomer to nonduality who has never heard of Niz or Ramana. It might also interest a sadist interested in dry philosophy or in passing a class on 'nondual philosophy'. However, it will lose its attraction, fun and challenge for those with existing knowledge and experience of " nonduality " , " realization " . I think it is OK to " teach " - and, many people on this and other forums do in fact, " teach " without calling it such. I think Bob adds an interesting challenge to such teachers and might also help by keeping their ever inflating egos in check. You might need to do the extra work by yourself or, just let it inflate until it bursts on its own. i.e. if you really think you have an inflating ego and you really do want to keep that in check. Else, there is no need. I have no personal problem with your ego or lack of it, I am simply noting that without Bob, Lene, Geo this forum will become too monotonous and will become painful for me to read. Of course, that is just my opinion and my taste. [...]

People get bored so easily and soon will leave to look for another list offering more fun. Maybe it would be wise if Hur could install a larger foto section with sexy girls and handsome men. Also some links to soft- and hardcore porn and to free mp3 are adviced. On the web there also exist a large amount of cartoon sites Hur could link to. Then together with Bob, our resident spiritual clown, this list will offer lots of fun and entertainment that even could attract more visitors to sign in. Huzzah huzzah hurray ! BUT.. this violent earth has me all shook up. and by God.. or by someones else if God's not by me at the time.. by whatever or by whoever it is then.. i'm going to DO something here about the TERRIBLE THING there. i guess i have no choice. i'm going to get pissed off and yell and scream.. send big bucks and and sell ice cream... yeah that's what i'm going to do! by my own choice regardless of my not having any choice. i think that the ground there should have exercised a " better choice " . and if God had anything to do with that.. then as the Ground of Being God should have exercised better judgment. that's my take on it anyway. it's a non-starter to ask who's judgment is better: mine vs.God's. God doesn't judge so i guess i'm the winner on that one. and i guess therefore i'm a much better person than God.. even though God isn't a person.. he's a tricky little devil that way.. well..no matter how one looks at It.. what choice but this one is there? or is that even a real question? see..God's not FAIR either. whaaaaaaaaaaaaa! :-) ..b b.b. There isn't an actual ego that gets inflated. Just judgments made about behavior, words, or thoughts. > I have no personal problem with your ego or lack of it, I am simply noting that without Bob, Lene, Geo this forum will become too monotonous and will become painful for me to read. Of course, that is just my opinion and my taste. Great ! We also should install a ranking poll on this list showing the entetaimnet value of each member. As suggested by Dan we will start with Bob, Lene and Geo. I can imagine that this list more and more will get the shooting star of all lists. Yes, I think they suspect that certain kind of behavior is because a person thinks very highly of himself and does only those things that will support such image. They suspect that they are not meeting the real person, but, only a persona. > > > I have no personal problem with your ego or lack of it, I am simply noting that without Bob, Lene, Geo this forum will become too monotonous and will become painful for me to read. It is possible to err on the either side. You can make it all about entertainment and start pornography and such. Or, you can make it all about monotonous preaching and make it very dull, dry, boring and humorless. In either case, I think the list will lose its charm and value. I think Bob offers a very valuable, important and interesting challenge to the " teachings " and by doing so, he sometimes exposes the pitfalls of the teaching and he also makes the whole experience far more engaging and revealing than it would be without any witty challenge. I, personally, would have great difficulty in understanding what you or few other members write here. J. Krishnamurthy was known to be a complex and " difficult to understand " teacher. You guys sometimes talk in way which is even more difficult to understand. Understanding it feels like " torture " - especially, when it becomes too monotonous. It appears to me that you guys might be too much in love with certain concepts and can't help but jest keep repeating it in the same monotonous, dry way over and over. Bob sometimes cancels that through his wit, humor and challenge and sometimes, he breaks it into smaller pieces that can be easily digested. regards, ac

Question: Why is one longing for and needing any challenge at all ? Is it because our minds are that sluggish and/or depending on outside stimuli ? Does one constantly need some kick or stimulus to feel alive ? Do you personally need challenges, AC ? Because you already mentioned Krishnamurti here is what he said about boredom: " Boredom is the threatening dawning realization of what one really is: Nothing ! That's why one constantly is craving for entertainment and for challenges as an escape not having to face one's shallowness and nothingness " . Look at the pulk of people who have chosen Bob to ramble on. There lies the answer what this list is about: Entertaiment. Ok then, let's have fun and let's choose Bob as our king !
