You might need to do the extra work by yourself or, just let it inflate until it bursts on its own. i.e. if you really think you have an inflating ego and you really do want to keep that in check. Else, there is no need. > > > > > > > > I have no personal problem with your ego or lack of it, I am simply noting that without Bob, Lene, Geo this forum will become too monotonous and will become painful for me to read. Of course, that is just my opinion and my taste. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > [...] > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes, indeed, > > > > > > The entertainment factor of a list like this should be as high as possible. Also some links to soft- and hardcore porn and to free mp3 are adviced. On the web there also exist a large amount of cartoon sites Hur could link to. > > > > > > Then together with Bob, our resident spiritual clown, this list will offer lots of fun and entertainment that even could attract more visitors to sign in. > > > > > > Huzzah huzzah hurray ! > > > > > > Life can be so exciting ! > > > > > > Werner > > > > > > > > > > > Yes, Werner. It is possible to err on the either side. You can make it all about entertainment and start pornography and such. Or, you can make it all about monotonous preaching and make it very dull, dry, boring and humorless. In either case, I think the list will lose its charm and value. > > > > I think Bob offers a very valuable, important and interesting challenge to the " teachings " and by doing so, he sometimes exposes the pitfalls of the teaching and he also makes the whole experience far more engaging and revealing than it would be without any witty challenge. > > > > I, personally, would have great difficulty in understanding what you or few other members write here. J. Krishnamurthy was known to be a complex and " difficult to understand " teacher. You guys sometimes talk in way which is even more difficult to understand. Understanding it feels like " torture " - especially, when it becomes too monotonous. It appears to me that you guys might be too much in love with certain concepts and can't help but jest keep repeating it in the same monotonous, dry way over and over. Bob sometimes cancels that through his wit, humor and challenge and sometimes, he breaks it into smaller pieces that can be easily digested. > > > > > > > > regards, > > ac > > > > > Thanks, Ac, > > Intersting point. > > Question: Why is one longing for and needing any challenge at all ? > > Is it because our minds are that sluggish and/or depending on outside stimuli ? There lies the answer what this list is about: Entertaiment. > > Ok then, let's have fun and let's choose Bob as our king ! > > Werner Do we really need anything at all? Fakires don't. One is not 'constantly' craving for entertainment and challenges Werner. Now and then enough is enough, and there is just silence and there is the chance to find out that one is nothing. Right. It is however correct what K said, but only for those who are still afraid of the big bad void. There is no threat in it for me. Which reminds me, that we would do well in just speaking the truth about ourselves and stop lying to ourselves. But is the truth the same truth for everybody? Ask me and I would say yes, it is. BUT - it makes no sense to say to a child who is bored: relax sweet heart - you are just afraid of the big bad void. What's that, mom? You will know when you're my age, dear - it is not kids-stuff. Wha??? Mommm - I am boooored! It also makes no sense to say that to an adult who is in fact afraid of the big bad void - he is probably psychotic or smth and needs another kind of aid. Point -- truth cannot be forced in to people's heads. It will dawn when time is up, and you can ask JK about that. He would say before the age of 30 (till when all action is repetitive) theres no chance in hell for a person to understand the first thing about himself. And he himself was older than fifty before he started to stop lingering, tiptoedancing, dumped the romantic drivel and just stuck to the fact. (Do not ask me to explain that one, repeat do not ask me to explain that one First and last - speak the truth, stop lying and stop telling other people what they are (to do or not) for you do not know us - and you do not know our condition so all you can tell us about is yourself, therefore tell the fact about yourself and turn the deaf ear to people, telling you facts about you, for we know you not and you know us not. K told the truth about himself - was all he could do period If I were you - I would be appalled to hear Lene tell me the truth - I would be furious and ask: with what right does she do that? I find it problematic to tell others - like I did you above. I find it fine to tell me, the story of me, and what happens when the idea of me - pops like the weasle did - and what else there is to tell. Now - are you sitting down? - It is fine with me the way Bob tells us because he is not, not - there is so much he is not, where do I begin? First and last there is the peculiar sense of humour which is that of the jester, the clown, so full of sadness and seriousness and happy-go-luckiness and screw-you ness and stingness - and NOT all of that - at the same time. Ah, must not forget point, must I What Bob is doing is of course to tell us the story of Bob. & you are telling us the story of Werner and Lene is talking about herself too and allswell and now I will go eat blunch.
