I beg to differ...

N's ..expose is wonderful,but...the latter part where one comes to the

realization of the absolute(pure awareness) seems unattainable to me..

If you say you have realized the absolute(pure awareness),that by definition

imlpies and implicates a " you " ...

my point is,you can go as far,and realize your " consciousness " ..

but to go beyond...? who is it that is going beyond ??who is it that has taken

notice of that " going beyond " ???..

Pure awareness,is like gasoline, and consciousness is the gasoline that is in

the tank of your car..you can only be aware of your consiounness thanks to

" pure awareness " ...

The so called " realization " of pure awareness can only happen in

your consciousness, and not seperate from it.

realization of pure awareness is an impossible task...

when you are under anesthesia for 2 hrs, those two hours cn not be accounted

for....in those 2 hrs there is neither consciousness nor awareness...once

consciousness is gone ..so has awareness .

There is no such thing as pure consciousness and there is also no impure

consciousness. The idea of pure consciouss has its origin in that very old idea

that consciousness is a mirror - wipe that mirror clean and, voila: You get pure

consciousness.

When you fall asleep the brain is putting consciousness into a box and locks it

off and when you wake up the brain unlocks and opens that box again.

So " brain " is other then consciousness? Must be if it can put consciousness

into a box.

Is it?

Then, later, when it is time to wake up, consciousness is locked in the

box - together with the brain, because brain is not separate from

consciousness.....(@#$%#%)

P: That ain't no joke, Bob. Most these guys

here believe awareness is some kind of ultimate

cosmic perfection. So how come, it misses typos

then? No one can deny we all miss very important

things, like not seeing a car coming, and having

a fender bender. Being distracted is a common thing.

So, how come? If Awareness is all there is, it should

not miss anything. Am I missing something to go on

yeah..

playing guitar..

playing keyboards..

boating and fishing..

and pissing...

these are the fab few of my most favorite things.

i don't know but i think that we think too much about our thinking.

and we think it's tits.

the absolute pinnacle of wonder and greatness.

sometime soon after the first thought thought..

there most likely came a second thought that said:

" hey..I'm GOD! " ..

or " I AM....and I am made in My God's image " ..

(the God who says " I AM " .)

or something similar to that.

it's the arrogance of a clam actually.

if we were clams we would " feel " if not " think " ..

that everything pretty much centered around clams..

and that " clamness " was the highest capability and of the Universe.

the Ultimate Cool.

anyway..

the idea that our thinking thoughts is tantamount to " Awareness " ..

and that therefore Awareness is subject to the rules of our games:

of logic and phrasing and cognition and spelling et. al...

is such a belittlement to whatever the hell Awareness IS..

(i don't have a f*cking clue what that is)..

is just so much hubris and that's all.

please excuse me..

i've just been hit by a car and need to piss.

i hope you don't miss me..

but i hope you miss any misspellings i made.

we don't need any distractions that i'm aware of anyway.

:-)

you're just imagining that, in retrospect, because you thought process has

inferred two hours past and you have no recollection of it.

Thought is associating " memory " as " being aware. "

A false equation.

Thought's contents have never been about what " awareness " actually is - only

other thoughts supposed to be about " awareness. "

But awareness as a concept, as a memory of something one is aware of, is not

what awareness is.

So, the word " nothing " gets used.

" Nothing " = " awareness. "

Such an equation hints at bringing down the house of cards constructed by memory

through thought's contents and associations.

Now, one sees, only the seeing and the being of this nothing are not-two.

There is no word for this.

Yet, words flow forth, and flow on ...

The game of human discourse and thought's process being what it is ...

and isn't ...

Pete -

All of your discourse is through awareness.

Ideas about something noticed, something not noticed.

Why get hung up on the word " awareness " and concepts about it?

Clearly the word ain't the actuality.

You've used the word " sensed. "

All your talk is sensed ...

Sensing, awareness - does the word really matter?

The actuality never could be truly represented.

The actuality that I am isn't " I " isn't " am. "

All this talk going back and forth about nothing.

Successful nothing talk.

Unsuccessful nothing talk.

If a bridge gets built, it needs to be structurally sound.

So, give me some structurally sound talk about structurelessness.
