Dear Durgaji:

Thanks for your sharing!

>> enlightenment doesn't come and go

Maybe, because as VG Jee pointed out, according to classic Vedanta,

'enlightenment' is just real experimental 'knowledge' and nothing else.

For example, once you really learn and see that 'earth is a sphere' or 'water is

H2O'... that real *experimental* knowledge doesn't come and go. That knowledge

stays as *real* no matter how you experience water, earth in real life!

With warm regards,

ac

If you could refrain from passing your opinion on everything that passes this

board, I think the forum will generally become more enjoyable and it will also

give other people better opportunity (and space) to express their opinion.

Do you have to swing at every ball:

" What's nice about investing is you don't have to swing at pitches. You can

watch pitches come in one inch above or one inch below your navel and you don't

have to swing. No umpire is going to call you out. You can wait for the pitch

you want. "

This is the another way you bring the list down;

....by personally insulting other posters!

If other people respond in the same way, most of the messages become about

people personally insulting each other, (verbally) attacking each other,

(verbally) defending against personal attacks and less about the discussion of

the ideas. This can discourage those interested in reading, discussing ideas

from participating, posting and reading.

Are people more likely to feel welcome to express their ideas when they get

personally insulted or are they less likely to feel welcome to express their

ideas?

Would a good school like to personally insult a student for expressing his/her

opinion, ideas or would a " good " school like to focus more one discussing idea?

....how about a school offering Doctorate? Would personally insulting everybody

who writes/speaks will encourage open flow of ideas better?

oh don't be so dramatic.

what's bothering you is that i call your bullshit...bullshit.

would it be better if everyone played your politically correct game?

" let's all say what's not the most truthful..

but what's the most politic " .

is that what you'd like it to be like kid?

everyone massaging the very thing they should be trying to kill?

everyone protecting everyone else's precious little ego?

what a losing act that is!

this is not a school.

i am not your teacher.

i don't believe in nor care for " students " .

and particularly i don't like..

small minded egocentric people who take their precious egos..

so seriously that they feel " insulted " by me or anyone else..

for calling it what it is:

a phony little impostor.

you are still lost in the second attention ac.

you still cling to a phony " self "

insult me and i laugh.

that's the way to play.

why can't you do the same?

why do you need feel that your ego self is righteous?

why can't you see the humor in the bullshit?

you act like a prim and proper church lady.

i'm not about to play your game.

it's about as silly as playing tea time party with your girlfriends.

" Oh and how is the Duke Mrs. Asterbuilt? "

" Just jolly fine m'Lady. And how is the Baron of late? "

" His Lordship is doing quite nicely thank you dear "

" Charmed I am your Highness and the tea and biscuits are exquisite "

hahahahahahaaaa!

now c'mon ac..

get off your high horse and have a giggle.

and try to come up with something reasonable to discuss.

just don't expect to be mollycoddled.

nonduality is not about complaining about trite matters like:

how many posts are too many.

that's like the Emperor telling Mozart that his music is just fine..

but there are just too many notes.

do you or do you not see the lunacy in something like that?

and ac..

it doesn't matter what nonduality is to me..or to you..

or to Nisargadatta or a thousand and one hoodoo gurus.

as a matter of fact..

nonduality is very specifically what it is NOT to any and all of us.

it is what is not spoken.

it is what is not thought.

if it were any one of those things..

it would NOT be nonduality.

i'm surprised that you would even ask such a stupid question.

are you sure you want to deal with truth?

or do you just want to have things be as you would have them be?

because that's the way it MUST be because it's the RIGHT way?

that's sick whether you know it or not.

and it's sick specifically because you don't want to believe it.

It seems that it matters to you Bob, else, probably, you wouldn't attempt to use

it like a sword as in:

" You are so nondual. "

Deal with " truth " ?

What " truth " you are talking about?

After knowing that water is H20...

I still like drinking water when I am thirsty and hydrogen or oxygen.

After knowing that all matter in the end is just space and energy...

I still like eating fruits and not rocks.

After knowing that all matter is made up of electrons, protons, neutrons...

I still know hitting a rock hurts and hitting a helium balloon doesn't.

After knowing that Sun hardly moves...

I am still fine living in word and saying where the sun rises in east and sets

in west.

After knowing that earth is a sphere...

it is still ok to build houses on it (as if) the earth is...

Doesn't prevent one from following the rules that allows others to live with

Roses rot and ultimately turn into soil...

Shit too ultimately turns into soil...

From that soil... comes beautiful roses...

Knowing that doesn't prevent one from picking roses for his/her beloved on the

valentines day and not shit...

Knowing that all matter is ultimately made up of same sub-atomic particles, just

different proportion...

doesn't prevent one from picking candies, chocolates and cookies and not shit!

Experience, knowledge, realization of nonduality...

doesn't prevent one from driving on the right hand side of the road...

not does it prevent from being considerate, kind and respectful towards others!

(.b b.b.):

no...how 'bout saying there are too many notes?

don't try an evade the issue.

(.b b.b.):

i didn't say it mattered did i?

i said that you were nondual.

and it still doesn't matter to me.

it seems to matter to you.

what either of us think matters or not doesn't matter.

that doesn't change the fact that you aren't nondual.

that's the truth.

i only said what nonduality is NOT.

and frankly i don't give a shit if you aren't nondual.

(.b b.b.):

the truth that you aren't nondual.

what's the matter with you can't you read?

(acdc):

> After knowing that water is H20...

(.b b.b.):

what does being H2O mean?

you don't " know " fundamentally what that means.

what is oxygen..hydrogen?

gases?

what are " gases "

it's an endless game and it never ends in " knowing " .

it's only a word game and once you know the word..

" water " for example..

you think you " know " what something/anything means.

you don't.

don't bullshit yourself.

(acdc):

> I still like drinking water when I am thirsty and hydrogen or oxygen.

(.b b.b.):

goody for you.

some people don't like drinking water.

some people don't like swimming in water.

some people don't like your idea of what water is.

it's NOT all about you.

(acdc):

> After knowing that all matter in the end is just space and energy...

>

> I still like eating fruits and not rocks.

(.b b.b.):

what the hell are you trying to say?

this is getting even more ridiculous than your initial speculations.

i like kicking your ass and not someone else's.

so what?

it's not all about me either asshole.

(acdc):

(.b b.b.):

that's good.

that'll show me won't it?

show me what stupid?

that you aren't totally brain dead is about all it tells me.

to use your baseball schtick..

you're WAY out in left field here kid.

(acdc):

> After knowing that Sun hardly moves...

in west.

(.b b.b.):

i'm fine living in a world where saying that doesn't impress me.

you're just writing ridiculous stuff..

in an effort to evade the issues at hand.

1. what is too many posts?

2. how does my writing a lot of posts..

stop you from writing just as many?

like i mean hell it doesn't stop you..

from being a nincompoop and writing the above drivel.

and here's a bonus kid..

you can write as much of it as often as you want.

and baba won't say that it's too much or too frequent.

but excuse me if i laugh it off as bullshit.

because bullshit it is ac.

now think think think..

come up with some more self serving senseless excuses..

and post them a thousand times a thousand times.

and i'll laugh that many times..

and call you out on your trying to evade the real issue every time.

if you don't like it tough.

may i suggest again that you grow up.

(.b b.b.):

what is it you are on about here?

i don't think you even know.

you're just babbling.

for Christ sake you're talking stupidly!

" YOU " ...NEED and EXPECT... " RESPECT " !

oh for God's sake!

that's exactly what i've been talking about regarding you!

you should read that last sentence again..

and really observe what it's saying..and saying about you.

if you " get it " ..

it'll either make you sick..

or....like me...it'll make you laugh.

i mean how can you say what you're saying there..

and have the temerity to ask me how i can say you are not nondual???

read it again and again and again you little self important asshole..

and maybe you'll come to at least a partial understanding.

soooooo....

until that time twerp..

LOL!

to post as much and as often as you care to.

and as often as you don't care that i do the same.

and as long as you don't care if it makes me laugh my ass off.

actually i don't care if you do care.
