Guest guest
After all, that is what 99.99% of the matter too is supposed to be! How is the SPACE inside a closed box is different from the SPACE outside it? Is the SPACE one or, is the SPACE numerous, each SPACE enclosed in box entirely different, independent, separate and unique? What happens to the SPACE inside the box once the BOX breaks - does it become " ONE " with the SPACE outside it? What happens to the SPACE inside the box a flower or poisonous gas is kept inside the box - does the air (matter) inside the box changes or does the SPACE itself changes and becomes contaminated - fragrant or poisonous? Everything needs SPACE in order to exist - yet, does the SPACE itself can be said to exist (apart from " other " SPACE that is...?)? Maybe, substitute Awareness, Consciousness, Life, Atman, Brahman, Holy Spirit or any other " suitable " term for SPACE and then try answering it? Does SPACE exist? Does SPACE not exist? Does the SPACE inside the BOX exist - after all, you can indeed put a flower inside it? Or, does it not exist and is only an illusion created by walls - after all, it can no longer be seen (as 'separate') once the walls fall down? What is SPACE? If " I " am the " body " - then " what " I am? Am " I " the SPACE which s 99.99% or am " I " the .001% of the other stuff - " energy " ? Can the SPACE inside a box can get " liberated " from the box and still 'exist'? Can the SPACE inside a box said to 'exist' (separate from ALL SPACE) once the walls of the box has fallen down? Can the SPACE inside a box said to 'exist' once it is not 'separate'?

P: No, Arvind. That is not clear thinking. Space is not and ingredient in matter, anymore that the space between your chair and your TV is an ingredient of both. So, although there is a lot of space between subatomic particles that space is not 99.99% of matter. > >Ac: How is the SPACE inside a closed box is different from the SPACE outside it? P: That is a classic example of a language mirage. It presumes that space is an entity that has an existence of its own, when, in reality, space is just another word for the absence of things. Another name for space is distance. There are 93 million miles separating Earth from the Sun (if I remember right) so that means that sunlight takes 8 minutes to get to Earth. Time is another name for space, we can't talk of one without conjuring the other: space/time. Now, we know we can talk of space/time without conjuring gravity. So, how would your question sound phrased this way: " How is the time and the gravity inside a closed box is different from the SPACE outside it? " Doesn't the question sound like nonsense now? > >AC: Does SPACE exist? > > > Does the SPACE inside the BOX exist - after all, you can indeed put a flower inside it? > > Or, does it not exist and is only an illusion created by walls - after all, it can no longer be seen (as 'separate') once the walls fall down? > > >AC: What is SPACE? P: Relationship. Space can't exist without at least two things. So, space is the perception of separation and duality. Cosmologists say space is expanding. Expanding into what? Are there two spaces? Is curved space expanding into flat space? Not likely. Yet separation is growing faster and faster. One day, they say, the stars would be so far apart that the night sky will be solid black. One day, they say the very distances between the nucleus and electrons would be so great that atoms will fall apart. What is happening? What is space? Plotinus famous phrase comes to mind: " The flight of the Alone to the Alone "

There is some discussion going on in this regard: http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~sai/hologram.html ....at some deeper level of reality such particles are not individual entities, but are actually extensions of the same fundamental something. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/80beats/tag/subatomic-particles/page/2/ http://www.thetechherald.com/article.php/200833/1746/Do-sub-atomic-particles-com\ municate-at-10-000-times-the-speed-of-light http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3043731.stm > > Another name for space is distance.
