Guest guest
Questioner: All I want to know is how to deal with the world's sorrows. Maharaj: You have created them out of your own desires and fears, you deal with them. All is due to your having forgotten your own being. Having given reality to the picture on the screen, you love its people and suffer for them and seek to save them. It is just not so. You must begin with yourself. There is no other way. -- From " I Am That " " You must begin with yourself " .... with whom else!!?? .... even if some pseudo advaitins and so called neo advaitins don't know anything about such " themself " .... doesn't matter .... of their own problem .... and of nobody else! .... THE ONE THIS IS IMPORTANT TO. he who hath ear to hear and all that rot.. is the purpose and value of that livingness (every " you " and me " ) to.. just sit around and play with this notion? to spend countless hours and days caught up in that airy shit? it's no better than video game addiction. it's grosser than texting during a real live ongoing conversation. it's offensive in it's self-righteous attitude and action. it's a waste of grown-up time. and time is what you got. don't bullshit yourself. it's no big deal recognizing you're a pig. among pigs. you are being fed and played with.. and you go to slaughter. now no matter how much you're aware of the fact.. that you are " in Essence " ..really not " just a pig " . your worth and meaning reach far above and beyond... the sausage or football factories that seem to be your destiny. well good luck on the results of Realization. that'll really do it for sure. that'll change everything. for every you and me. you live and than you die. boy what a world we all live in! :-) ..b b.b. I was just thinking about this earlier on, telling myself to " turn the worry meter down. " No, I'm not enlitened or free from suffering or anything like that but i happened to get a lucky break after a stressful set of events recently. I noticed today that " worry me " was rising. It's ok to worry at times to get us motivated but i realized i was getting more worried than it was necessary. Once seen for what it is, all of a sudden it was easier to control this rising of worrying. So, my posting today was gonna be, " turn the worry meter " down but when i saw this quote it was a perfect opportunity to add my own insight. By the way i don't want to take credit for my feeling since it happened by itself...i didn't have to do anything. Now if i could only get a similar feeling for my diet and lose some weight naturally. To me it means that I have become the picture on the screen. As I gave reality to it - I became it and now I am it. I am physical reality - as well as mental reality as well as the watching all of it. It is no good to just be watching all like from the top of a hill. Dead-boring in the long run, if you ask me. So now that I am this physical reality, I might just as well engage in da play, live it, act it, be it, enjoy it, hate it. And that I certainly do. What's there to look forward to? Death of body of course, to leave the physical body behind and go all mental again. The lightness of mental being. In my sleep-dreams I sometimes engage myself in the games on, sometimes settle with watching it, sometimes I just rest and sleep. In the day-dream everything is rather heavy - but I can still dance and swim and jump and buzz around - especially whenever I am aware that after all I am nothing but air and air is not a thing - it is just there. Three rhymes - very good Worry when it is time to worry. I said " no " because I read what you said bellow. If you realize you are the screen there is no question of whatching as something separate - or not. Then you know what you are. -geo- It is no good to just be watching all like from the top of a hill. Dead-boring in the long run, if you ask me. Consider.... just as a thought - nothing else: You die, and suddenly you are born. Materiality is a relative thing. No matter where or how you are born you may have a " body " that will always feel as " material " although from the point of wiew of some human it is invisible or intangible. As I said this is just a game of imagination. I know nothing. -geo- In my sleep-dreams I sometimes engage myself in the games on, sometimes settle with watching it, sometimes I just rest and sleep. In the day-dream everything is rather heavy - but I can still dance and swim and jump and buzz around - especially whenever I am aware that after all I am nothing but air and air is not a thing - it is just there.
