(post shankara). Ofcourse it covers all the teachings of vEdAnta in prasthaanatraya. a prkarana grantha. jagan mithyaa means ' it( jagat) is not what it appears to be.' i.e. ever changing. also take for ex. a chair. it has 4 legs, a flat plank, a handle and a back support. though it appears as a chair its original form is nothing but WOOD. that wood comes from a tree, a tree from soil, further pancha bhoota. finally witnesser. i.e. atman - tasmaadvaa etasmaat aatmana aakaashah sambhoothaha, aakaashaat vaayuhu, vaayoragnihi, agneraapaha, adbhyaha prithiveem, prithivyaam oshadhayaha , oshadheebhyo annam, annaat purushaha.......Taittireeya upanshad. this method of analysation is called vastu tantra jnaana. there is no question of belief . that is why shankara has stated in Brahma Sutra Bhaashya- ' anubhavaavasaanatvaat, bhoota vastu vishayatvaaccha brahmajnaanasya.' Chair - as per vyavahaar drishti & wood as per paramaartha drishti . further wood as vyavahaar drishti and aatman as paramaartha drishti. shubhamastu, c.a.sanjeeva murthy bangalore > >
