The central question seems to be 'What is the prakriyA (= > Methodology ?) by which one arrives at a realisation of the unembodiedness Dear Sri V.Krishnamurthy, After studying the contents of your posting the observation is that the central question has not been touched at all. The point is I am not interested to find out whether the Self is unembodied are not? I would like to ascertain whether I am SarIri or I am aSarIri because Sri Shankara says that " AthmA hi nAma svarUpam " .If I am the Atman, then I must be aSarIri. But my present understanding is that I am sarIri. How can I get rid of this misconception? By mere reciting verses from theologicaltexts and puranas will not help me to get rid of this misconception. Actually and factually the truth of aSarIratva has to be established first in one's own life. Then only it becomes authentic. How can I establish this fact within me? Secondly What is the methodology to be applied by one who has the required mental preparation ? My intellect has the necessary sharpness to comprehend the the TRUTH viz. ' I was, am and for ever will be aSarIri' . so the metodology can be shared without any hesitation. This will help a lot of jijnasus belonging to this advaitin group and also many readers. IT IS A VASTUTANTRA j~JAna and not kartRutaMtra. After establishing the Truth only then any number of quotations and authorities can be quoted in support of it. . I am sure you have understood the spirit in which I have written these lines.
